What do you love most about your job?
I never bore of the wonder and magic of creativity - making marks, playing with materials, seeing what comes out of our fingertips and lets our inner worlds speak to us from within the safe containment of the theraputic setting, is powerful and beautiful and I am passionate about it because I have had the privelege to facilitate it and have seen it help, time and time again.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After many years working in the NHS I wanted to broaden who I could work with, offer more clinical supervision and training workshops and also create projects and collaborations with other people and businesses.
Why should our clients choose you?
If you would like to explore your inner world and how it impacts the outer one - through making, I could be for you. If you are concerned for someone you care about, feeling they are becoming unreachable, or maybe other services wont work with them or they arent eligible for some reason, please get in touch. I am creative in style and have worked with many people others have felt unable to. If I feel we can work together I will say, and if not I will also try and help point you in the direction of who maybe can.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes. You will need to gather some varied art materials around you and find a safe space to work as uninterrupted as possible. You can use these real materials whilst I watch you or I can work alongside you on my side of the screen. You can share artwork you may have done between sessions or that you like. We can also use digital art apps such as ArtSet or ProCreate, and we can use the whiteboard in Zoom. You will need to create an online folder for your Art Therapy digital and find a safe space to keep your other art therapy pieces.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We uphold basic hygiene and can do blended art therapy so whenever we do not feel safe regarding health and/or COVID we can move from face to face to online art therapy and back again anytime.
Individual Art Therapy
We will arrange a set of hour long weekly (usually) sessions either on Zoom or face to face at a venue near you or at my studio in Peterborough, where together we will explore and process through creativity, talking and being together.
We may use some movement and/or music at times.
