We used Joy’s services for all the detail design of our large new house in Essex. She did a first class job at all stages of the project, working closely with our excellent contractor and our various principal sub-contractors. From the very outset we knew we had made the right decision to work with Joy, and right through to the very end she was excellent!
She provided a fixed cost service rather than a percentage of the build which was important to us at the time, with the ability to increase the level of support we needed at any time.
We were particularly impressed with her technical packs and structural drawings which enabled both us and the builder to have more robust conversations and made the build process more professional and far less stressful!
Joy hit exactly the right balance between generating architectural plans, providing invaluable design detail advice, and actually listening to what we wanted as home-owners - and for that we are forever grateful!

We got connected with Joy through a friend of ours and we are so happy we did so because she offers a start to end service - which helpfully also sets out the steps we needed to take and decisions we needed to focus on as the project progresses. I don't want this to become a long review - in short, we are thrilled with the result! We worked with Joy on our Victorian ground floor flat refurbishment and extension in South West London. The plans Joy drew up were great and maximized space for us whilst also being a great wow-design for a young family. Joy managed the process of planning permission for us and also assisted with the tender process to find builders. She brought a great level of experience for us as well in managing challenging situations with the builder.
