Fantastic walks, with interesting lakeside building, house sadly is outshone by the gardens but still worth a look, went for food at 13/30 an the queue at the restaurant minimal an quality of food to a high standard well done ? I will be back ?

The gardens and walk were absolutely superb, just around every corner there was something for you to be interested in. But you need to give it a whole morning as the grounds are huge. One of the top National Trust sites, this location should be on all members 'must visit'list,Whilst obviously not tended by anything like the number of gardeners that once worked here, the gardens are a credit to the staff that work here now. There is a lot of walking if you plan to see the best attractions in the grounds, so decent walking shoes are a must.The cafe in the grounds was one of the best we have come across in a NT site. Excellent visit, good road access well laid out parking and entry points, all the staff we encountered were knowledgeable, polite and friendly. This a wonderful place to visit. It's England at its best. Beautiful scenery, lakes, wildflowers, birds and so many stone features. Super place for exercise and ample places to eat and drink. We received our photos from Adam today and are just blown away. Adam was a complete gentleman on the day, from warming our coffee to helping supply scissors and all sorts of wedding day advice about flowers! ! He’s definitely not just a photographer! Adam has managed to capture every part of our day and half the time we didn’t even know it. We love all the photos including the 8am just got out of bed ones!! We booked Adam for our Wedding last year 03.11 made us feel so comfortable and at ease at the pre shoot and took amazing photos then as well! ... our wedding photos are beautiful so glad we had Adam there didn't even realise he was taking them most of the time and they are all amazing! he gets photos of all the little things and captures every special moment ... now we have the hard job of picking our fav out of all of them because there are so many! We used Adam for our wedding in October last year, very professional from start to finish, a very nice and witty chap that makes being photographed very easy and I hate photos being taken haha. Lots of smiles on our pre wedding shoot and made it very easy for us from start to finish. He put in a right shift and didn’t stop all day! You can tell he loves his job because of the quality of the photos and that in its self is a great asset to have. The photos are amazing and we are both extremely pleased. Photos and memories last a life time so I’m glad we used a great guy that understands what’s needed. He bent over backwards to deliver what we wanted and had a little funny incident on the pre wedding shoot when he slipped down a rock to get a better view and nearly broke an expensive camera!! Adam was an absolute star. He made both myself on my new wife feel very comfortable. Neither of us are keen on having photos taken however he made us feel so relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble and he's great with the kids. He made everyone smile. The photos that we have seen whilst waiting for the full package have been fantastic. We hired Adam to do our wedding photography. He has been excellent right from the first meeting at the pre wedding shoot. We very quickly felt at ease because Adam is so friendly and personable . I love that the package is one price and unlike some photographers there is no hard sell and you get all the images on disc. Adam was with us from the crack of dawn on the wedding day capturing all the preparations and didn't leave until late on the night - worked solidly and boy did we get some awesome pictures. As the bride and groom you only see a fraction of what's going on throughout the day as you're preoccupied talking to guests etc when you get your photos it's amazing to fill in the gaps you missed on the day. We took our daughter to Apt photography to do a cake smash for her 2nd birthday. Adam was fantastic, he responded quickly and reassuringly to my messages and questions prior to our shoot.
On the day of our shoot we found Adam to be warm and welcoming, and we felt very relaxed in his home, my daughter was a little camera shy at times but we were not made to feel rushed or like this was a problem, Adam completely went at our daughters pace and was very good at trying to encourage her to come out of her shell.
We have had the photos back today and I can't stop looking at them, they are gorgeous, we are so pleased with them as is our daughter who finds it very amusing looking at photos of herself.
We Can't wait to book our family shoot with Adam next. More...

We hired Adam to do the photography at our wedding.
Adam was there on the day from the very start of the preparations and stayed until very late and captured our day better than could have ever been expected. He went above and beyond any expectations and always went that bit further to ensure our day was captured perfectly. Even the pre shoot, Adam managed to arrange to have that at the actual wedding venue and we got some fantastic photos, and even made me feel comfortable and thats an achievement as I am uncomfortable around cameras.
We received our photos, personally delivered to our home and he didn't leave until we were happy with the photos.
We were extremely happy with Adams work on the day and the photos produced. We would recommend his work without hesitation and if we are ever in the need of professional photography in the future, we will definitely be contacting APT. More...
