Counselling

I’ve had a few sessions with Andrew and have always found him to be very professional and personable. He is very flexible with timings and fitting sessions in at my convenience. He is quick to respond to text messages. His sessions have been helpful and it was my decision to suspend them. He is very good at what he does and never expresses any judgements. I would recommend anyone to go be him a go you will be surprised More...

Counselling

I was looking for a counsellor to help with my anger and personal issues and Andrew was great from the start, he helped me to retrain my way of thinking with quite a few techniques which I found extremely helpful along my journey to a better me. Andrew was patient and listened to me , his advice and time invested into our sessions has really changed the way I feel about myself. I only ever have “good nerves” now and can control my anger in the best way , thanks to the techniques he showed me. I actually like me now, something I never thought I would ever do. Andrew is very professional and if anyone is looking for a counsellor I can’t recommend him enough. More...

Counselling

Andrew was very kind and caring when contacting me, he understood and was extremely patient when I became upset, I usually find men difficult to talk to but with Andrew his gender wasn’t an issue because he’s just so understanding, and most definitely person centred because when we spoke my feelings felt very important.

Counselling

Andrew rang me and understood me from the onset, he could fit me in quickly and we’ve agreed to start working together, he is so patient and caring from the short time I’ve spoken with him

Q&As

As a very compassionate/empathetic person i love helping others in a therapeutic role I feel that i have a true sense of vocation for counselling which i find very fulfilling Helping others through emotional turmoil of many kinds comes naturally to me , probably because i have battled with depression & know from personal experience the best ways to recovery

The freedom of being my own boss I wanted to continue using my psychotherapeutic skills having retired from the medical profession & private counselling seemed the best way forward

I have many years experience as a therapist Both within the medical profession & beyond as a private therapist/counsellor Having suffered my own mental health issues i have an innate feel for therapy & can express true empathy

Yes i can offer a remote counselling service particularly in the current climate This could be done via zoom calls or what’s app/facetime /plain telephone call One on one counselling is preferred but not in the current climate until mid May anyway

Working remotely only at present Face to face counselling is more effective/therapeutic & therefore generally recommended but can be impractical for some clients & certainly should be discouraged with the current pandemic

Services
