How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
If the garage has cavity wall ,location, accsess .windows facing? .the roof? . If it has a proper slab with dpm. And dpc

Main issue is properly insulating it .ensuring cavity are insulated .damp proofed. Insulate ceiling properly . And making sure you can tap into services in electric .water .waste
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
The overall size and shape of the roof is important for possible loft conversion.
And the design of the roof .trusses or A frames . Loft conversions are about transfering the load of the roof and retaining structural support

Structural support ,some roofs lend themselves easier to conversion. Some may need additional support with steel perllings . Stopping the spreed of the roof and transfering the load down to access space .properly insulating. Accessing services .correct load bearing timbers for floor .staircase access. fire doors etc. Finishing plasterboarding skimming etc

I have been a sole trader for 17 years experiencing every aspect of carpentry .with 5 years of employment with reputable buiding company . With additional 5 years joinery and boat building skills .
What guarantee does your work come with?
A ten year guarantee will be given. Buiding works will be made to last as long as possible 40 years + .using the best materials and there life span ...for example where outside fixings are used anywhere near the coast of Cornwall stainless steel fixings should be used . Made to last .
What do you love most about your job?
As well as the job being physically demanding I enjoy keeping fit .you get to use your brain .I have always been practically minded. some jobs are quite involved i like a challenge, problem solving. Every job is different . I enjoy meeting new people. I have a happy disposition. And enjoy the satisfaction of completing a job properly. With a strong sense of contentment knowing I have done the job right . And seeing the customer happy and content and the end of a job
What inspired you to start your own business?
Putting my extensive experience to use for myself .having been employed for a number of years previously . Being able to be my own boss enables me to carry out my work properly to a high standard.
