What do you love most about your job?
Being able to make a change in my clients lives is absolutely wonderful. That beautiful moment when you get a message saying 'Thank you so much, I was able to sleep without interruptions for the first time in months' makes me feel that I am in the right job and I love it. I love being part of my clients' journey to resolving whatever issues they come to see me for.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have successfully worked in IT for over 30 years, supporting, developing, testing software, managing large software related projects and programmes for a multitude of businesses from Financial Services to NHS.
Different projects, different technologies, different companies but one constant theme – stress. Stress in the workplace is endemic. I’ve seen my colleagues having nervous breakdowns, sobbing uncontrollably, going off sick with stress for weeks at a time, giving up carrier in IT all together because they couldn’t cope. And I couldn’t help because I didn’t know how.
I’ve taken a course with The UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and have now fully qualified as Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist. Which means I can help.

I approach people's problems in empathetic, non-judgemental, and practical manner. We would work together to develop a unique solution that can be implemented through our partnership.
I teach clients coping strategies that they can use in everything they do, be that dealing with stress, anxiety, pain or just dealing with every day challenges. At the end of each session I provide the session recording to use at home to ensure that the change is embedded in your mind and to prevent relapse.

I do most of my Hypnotherapy session online using Zoom, Teams or WhatsApp. It’s as effective as face-to-face sessions plus there are a lot of advantages for online hypnotherapy sessions:
- Whilst you are at home in your home environment you feel safe and can be more relaxed.
- Because you are at home in safety and relaxed, you feel less self-conscious.
- No need to spend time or money on travel, to use public transport or stress about parking.
- Sessions can be scheduled at a convenient time for you, during your lunch break for example
Hypnotherapy for Stress and Anxiety
Hypnosis is becoming more recognised as a method for reducing feelings of anxiety. It can help boost confidence and self-belief, while reducing feelings of fear and intense worry. It can help you develop the ability to access the calm state of mind needed to overcome the often-overwhelming emotions you are living with.
By aiming to access your unconscious and using the power of suggestion, it works to promote positive change. These suggestions are tailored to help you learn what triggers your anxiety and why, as well as changing the way you react towards them.
Hypnotherapy for Weight Management
I can help you by looking not at your diet but at your relationship with food. Together we find out what stops you from being your best self and work on the areas of your life that impact on your self-esteem, your eating habits. We would work together to build your confidence, improve your relationship with food that would last through the rest of your life.

Not to feel guilty or view it as a way of coping with stress and anxiety but as means of nourishing your body.
Hypnotherapy for Sleep problems and Insomnia
As part of the treatment plan, we’ll look into your Sleep hygiene, your routines, level of stress and anxiety. There are several CBT and Hypnotherapy techniques I use to help my clients to relax and improve their sleep: cognitive diffusion, mindfulness, progressive muscle relaxation, cognitive restructuring.
Some clients only need one session to see improvements in their sleep, for some it can take a bit longer. But in the end, all of my clients report a positive shift in their wellbeing.
Hypnotherapy for Fears and Phobias
An integrated approach using Cognitive Behavioural techniques combined with Hypnotherapy enable use of the therapy tools in a most effective way.
We can work through your most difficult and frightening situations while you are under hypnosis, using your imagination.
This allows you to stay completely in control, relaxed and calm, re-enforcing new behaviours and ensuring that change is long lasting.
I use a model called Systematic Desensitisation which gives us faster results.
Hypnotherapy for Confidence Building
We all want to be confident and assertive, being able to move through life with ease, to feel excited by new opportunities.
During our first session we identify your main stumbling blocks and assess the best way to address them. This will be followed by use of the deeply relaxed state of hypnosis to change the way you feel about yourself. The memories from your happy times will help to re-enforce and improve your feelings about yourself.

Hypnotherapy for Smoking Cessation

Sometimes all you need is just one Hypno-CBT session to break a lifelong smoking habit. Some people might need 2 or 3 sessions.
