Hello, my name is Anjali. I am an integrative psychotherapist offering remote therapy at convenient times throughout the week. I draw on the main psychotherapy traditions -- psychodynamic therapy, person-centred therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) -- in crafting a bespoke therapeutic experience tailored to you and your particular concerns, needs, goals, and personality.

Being a therapist is a tremendous honour. Your clients share their lives with you, allowing you into their world, and exploring parts of their lives that they may have never explored before. It is a privilege to work with clients on their journeys towards self-compassion, understanding, agency, meaning, and purpose. I derive a deep sense of meaning from helping others find their own sense of meaning; I find joy in helping others reclaim their joy; and I feel fully alive when I'm helping my clients feel more fully alive.

Born and raised in the United States, I spent several years working as a corporate lawyer in New York before relocating to the U.K. and training as a psychotherapist.  I also have experience teaching English as a foreign language, and working with refugees and asylum seekers in various voluntary capacities. I have lived in several countries around the world, and bring an open minded, non-judgmental, and empathic perspective to each of my clients, regardless of background or life experience. I approach the study of psychotherapy with rigour, and the practice of psychotherapy with the utmost compassion and respect.

I provide remote counselling only, allowing me to reach clients who might otherwise not be able to readily access therapy. I currently have Saturday slots available.

Services

I provide remote psychotherapy, treating a variety of issues, including but not limited to: relationship or family difficulties; anxiety, stress, or panic attacks; depression; loss or bereavement; times of change or transition; low self-esteem; distress related to childhood or the past; and uncertainties about meaning and purpose.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and typically take place weekly on the same day at the same time. Sessions take place remotely (Zoom or Skype). The fee for each session is £60. I offer a free 30-minute consultation before we begin working together. During this consultation, you will be able to share the main issues you are currently experiencing, and we will discuss what you hope to gain from therapy. This provides us an opportunity to explore what our therapeutic work will be, and what our therapeutic relationship may look like, if you choose to work with me.

We can work together either on an open-ended basis, or for a set period of time, depending on your particular needs and goals. We can discuss this during the initial consultation and can update this later on as needed.
