I work with you to promote wellbeing and resilience, and also provide support in the times when you may be finding it hard to cope. I meet you in my dedicated, warm and comfortable counselling room, creating a confidential space, free from judgement, so you can feel safe to begin exploring your issues.
Perhaps in everyday life, you concentrate on others, whilst your own needs are neglected. In counselling, the space and time is yours to explore whatever you need to bring, along with my support to help you develop understanding, self-awareness and coping mechanisms.
Maybe you’re overwhelmed, struggling with many issues, experiencing a difficult loss, or want to focus on changing one thing, but not sure how. Perhaps you wish to enhance your life and general wellbeing. Whatever your reasons for seeking support, I work together with you to meet your individual needs.
I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor, and I have worked with a wide range of clients and issues in various counselling services. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework. I work Integratively as I believe no single theory fits everyone. I weave several approaches together, tailoring them to fit your unique needs, whilst building a warm, trusting relationship between us, as it is a huge part of the therapy.
I am dedicated and experienced in helping people cope with difficulties surrounding loss and bereavement. I have Advanced Specialist training status with the National Counselling Society and currently volunteer with the charity Cruse.
It's an honour for me to sit alongside my clients in their darkest times, and to share in their joyful moments too as they explore and grow. Please get in touch with an email or a phone call so we can arrange to meet for an initial 90 minute introductory session where we will discuss your needs, and decide if we are comfortable working together.
