General Photography

Andrew is excellent, as simple as that.
We are an interior design company with a Bespoke Furniture workshop. We've been doing furniture for last 15 years and always wanted to show our high-quality product.
Until we started to work with Andrew, that was difficult.

Andrew is simply brilliant. He captures exactly the essence of our products and his vast knowledge enhance our product.

Also, his ability to engage with people is great, our customers are totally up to open doors and let Andrew do his magic.

We will continue using his service and I strongly recommend as well.

Commercial & Corporate Photographers

Andrew was brilliant to work with. He arrived promptly and his obvious enthusiasm for his craft shone out. As we are a start up we were all a bit tense but he quickly put the team at ease and got some great shots. We will definitely be using him again as we develop the business. More...

Property Photography

Andrew was excellent. He sent me some useful guidelines in advance so that I could prepare my property and show it off in the best possible way. The images are great, I did not realise my place could look so good. More...

Q&As

There is no 'secret' to taking a great photograph. As a professional I can use experience to get the right lighting or time of day, a good angle or setting and of course knowing how to control my camera. However, sometimes luck can play a role with something coming into the frame when you are composing the image that makes it that much more special.

Questions of course will vary depending on what I am photographing. Many clients are happy to continue on the same path as they have done previously and are really only looking for an image refresh to show new design or furnishings. However someone may be wanting to create a completely new image for their business and are looking for innovative ideas and imagery that will set them apart. It's crucial to establish what style of photography is preferred first before talking about the finer details like how many images, what areas to photograph and what time of day etc.

I most enjoy the variety that working in this arena allows. No two hotels, properties or restaurants are ever the same. Although I am essentially photographing buildings, with the buildings usually come people. My work can take me to a nursing home for the elderly to take pictures for a corporate brochure or to a school to photograph new facilities for their prospectus. I may find myself alone in the Surrey Hills capturing a beautiful hotel at sunrise or I can be surrounded by thousands of people in central London trying to capture a facade with just a five minute window of opportunity. The days are always unique and rewarding.

I was originally on course for a career in the corporate sector having completed a degree in government and economics at Harvard University. I decided to take a gap year and was fortunate enough to spend it working as a photographer on a sailing ship in the Caribbean. During that time I met people from all backgrounds and countries and I soon realised that I did not want to be restricted to working in the same location every day even if the rewards were there. Photographing the world rather than taking part in trying to run it seemed far more appealing. I met my wife, moved to the UK and have never really put my cameras down. Although I still travel for assignments, having a young family means that I tend to spend most of my time in London and the Home Counties.

I do have a fairly extensive portfolio which showcases work taken around the globe. Some of my clients have been commissioning me for over twenty years which I like to think means they continue to believe in my ability to deliver high quality work at an affordable price.

Services

In response to many requests from clients for ariel photography, I qualified as a drone pilot in the summer of 2020. I hold a PfCO (Permission for Commercial Operations) from the CAA and am fully insured to operate a Small Unmanned Aircraft in the UK.

Over the years I have often been asked if I can return to a venue to document its launch or record a milestone. This has taken many forms from a simple ribbon-cutting ceremony for PR to very large parties with hundreds of attendees.
