What’s your interior design process?
Form and function needs to work together to produce well designed beautiful interiors that work. There are a lot of moving parts in producing a kitchen. Does the style suit the property? Is the prep area in a correct place to suit the cooking area? Has the family lifestyle been considered? What is the natural light like in the room? Can this be improved?
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We cater for all styles. We work with manufacturers who specialise in different styles of furniture, from Country to Traditional, Period to Modern. The important aspects for us are quality and value. We aim to bring added value to everything that we do and only supply quality furniture, without being expensive. We do this by keeping our cost base low by not having expensive showrooms.
What do you love most about your job?
I love creating new environments that WOW people. Working with my clients to create their dream home in immensely rewarding and implementing the process without causing undue stress is fantastic.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for Peter Thompson of York for 20 Years, culminating in my position as Creative Director. Peter began his endeavour with a van and £300 and managed to create a business that employs 50 staff and his furniture is regarded as some of the best available.
He was a big inspiration to me in starting my own business, and not settling for anything less than outstanding.
