We chose Amy to be our designer for our three rooms in our newly extended house including a large kitchen diner. She has been amazing from the first phone call all the way through to our consultation meets and design delivery. She pays such detailed attention to our needs and wants and considers these when designing the space. I was always worried about a designer imprinting their style on us but Amy was completely the opposite. Her flexibility in thinking but at the same time making us consider things we hadn't .....really added value to the finish product. Amy came to help me with a living room project and then a pool table. I had no ideas really about decoration but only knew the purpose of the room.
Amy came round, well prepared with loads of ideas. She helped me to pick out the style of the room and then provided advice each step of the way, including which walls to wallpaper. She also sent me ideas for the furniture that would complement my room. We even went on a shopping spree for the ‘twiddly bits’ which really made the room and brought the style together so that it looked complete.
Amy then helped me when my husband brought home an enormous pool table that looked so old fashioned! Now it doesn’t and complements my kitchen perfectly (well, seeing as it has to stay!) Again, Amy provided styling advice and even helped us to find the products we’d need to recover it. Amy has fab ideas, a sensitive nature and a great eye for style and pulling a whole look together. I will definitely use her again and have already recommended her services to my friends and family.

What’s your interior design process?
I understand that each project and each client is different, why is why I offer a bespoke interior design package aimed at helping you to achieve your dream space.
This package includes the following:
- You will be sent a Welcome Questionnaire via email for you to fill in which will allow me to get to know you, your family, your home and your style prior to meeting you.
- A face-to-face consultation at your home to discuss your ideas, budget and timescales. During this consultation I will take detailed measurements and photographs of the existing room.
- I will then provide you with a complete design package in a further face-to-face consultation so that you can visualise how the space will look. This could include:
Mood board scheme
Paint and fabric recommendations (with samples).
2D room layout to help you to visualise the overall look of the space.
Full shopping list for furniture and furnishings, with links and prices, as well as access to my exclusive trade discounts.
Optional 3D design of the space (additional cost).
Optional Lighting and electrical plan (additional cost).
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I can cater for a variety of interior design styles, depending on the needs of individual clients.
What do you love most about your job?
I love helping my clients to achieve the vision they have for their home, and subsequently seeing how this positively impacts on their lifestyle and use of their home.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My passion for interiors began as a teenager with both of my parents working in the new build housing industry and thus many visits to show homes followed over the years where I would dream of one day being an Interior designer.
For a long time life took me down a different path of study and work but the passion never left me as I renovated my own properties.
Nowadays, my time is spent reading interiors magazines and exploring home decor shops to such an extent that there is no other path for me to take and so followed my decision to create Amy Newton Interiors.
I am passionate about creating beautiful and functional spaces tailored to suit your personal needs, style and budget. I believe that your home should be a reflection of your personality and lifestyle and act as your sanctuary.
