I was at a point in my life and career where I wanted to truly understand myself, how could I take my career to the next level? How could I bring the right energy? How could I be the best version of myself not only for my family but also for my colleagues, partners, and clients.

From the moment I met Ally I knew he was the Mentor, Coach and Confidant I wanted to work with, I'd spent a lot of time meeting coaches and Ally was completely different in his approach, it was refreshing to find someone that wanted to know about me and why I wanted to "peel the layers back" and take myself to the next level.

The way Ally runs his sessions is massively engaging, the way he makes you feel and the time and attention he gives, nothing else matters whilst you are in the session. I can honestly say there hasn't been a session I've come away from not feeling motivated, excited, and having clear focus on what I need to action and achieve next.

I cannot recommend Ally highly enough, as he knows for me this is only the start of a great relationship and journey that we're only just starting to scratch the surface on.

I’ll open my endorsement of Ally by saying my work with him has been life changing. When I made the decision to have some coaching one of my primary criteria was feeling comfortable and engaged from the offset. In my introductory session Ally achieved both effortlessly. I first talked to Ally in September 2021. At the time I was interested in seeking out a coach and had tried a few avenues to find the right one. After the first call with Ally I knew I wanted to work with him. However, due to other commitments in my life at the time I was unable to commit immediately. Ally was completely fine with this and made it clear that the door was open when I was ready. In February 2022 we started to work together.

After the first session I knew that my investment was money well spent. Ally is fantastic at what he does. He is easy to communicate with, knowledgeable, humorous and 100% genuine. Working with Ally has been both an important and hugely rewarding experience.

I'm 34 and work in a high pace environment with plenty of pressure to deliver, yet I was suffering from a combination of imposter syndrome, being caught up in a past narrative that would stifle my growth and self belief and I would generally over-think situations. Over time, this manifested into a general anxiety around work and therefore life and with a young family this became really stressful!

Like many others I had reached a plateau in my career. After climbing up the ladder quickly, early, I felt my progress had slowed. I was struggling for motivation and focus and needed help to fulfil my potential. I found Ally – something that I am certain I will see as a turning point in my professional and personal lives.

Above all Ally helped me to understand that until I understood my 'why' I was most likely to continue to work hard just to stand still. Ally’s approach was thoughtful, considered and designed to get the most traction for me personally. I was introduced to Ally by a mutual friend. Having qualified as a life coach Myself, I was looking for a ‘Master Coach’ to help me find my coaching niche and to guide me through what it was that I really felt really comfortable doing.

As a senior executive in investment banking, ex professional rugby player, nearly 50 and at a complete loss on how to deal with myself during lockdown, I turned to Ally in my hour of need. The literal watershed moment was upon me. I had spent the better part of 36 years escaping my demons from a deeply traumatic event when I was 12 years old. I used great escape methods, deflection tactics, mastered the art of avoidance and eschewed the virtues of a lone wolf. All my relationships failed, my life was a search for meaning in almost every continent on this planet. That search was INSIDE me.

Lockdown ensured that I could not run away and catch a flight, work harder than I used to, exercise harder than I used to because exercise, hard work, flying and other methods were the perfect gambit to allowing me to stretch my ego and pride a little further, as I had come from a world where old school male thinking was "Just be busy, be better than anyone, don't be vulnerable, don't share and more importantly never show the world how you are feeling. I saw in graphic detail how dark and lonely I was.

Enter Ally Gordon. We arranged an introductory chat. I even cancelled the first meet time, but with all reluctance and reticence, we had a call. The reason for canceling was the typical male ego and pride, the fear of being seen as weak. All of those feelings were there and I knew that I was in a place where I couldn't miss being able to change what and who I was. I mustered up all the courage I had and the call was done. The session flew by, Ally made me feel immediately like I was in a safe space. My feelings of fear, worry, hurt and avoidance melted away. I felt energised and almost as if the universe knew, I felt an immediate need to begin a journey of self help and reclaiming a sense of purpose and vision. I have been on an incredible journey with Ally and we have managed to work through many traditional but also unconventional methods to allow me to have a clear view of my "wheel of life" I have a vision with purpose and values. My insatiable need to learn, read and write has released so many inner demons and allowed me to step forward as an authentic, vulnerable, transparent human. My work ethic has evolved from hard work = better outcomes, to work smart = fulfilled means. My relationships are flourishing. I have a key desire to have the meaning and purpose we have on this earth mean something for me, and then in turn others.

Never give up on your hopes and dreams, just make sure you have a clarity and feeling for what and where you need to be. This is all done like anything. Have a view, write it down, rest, eat well, have FUN, move, work with someone like Ally, or with Ally!! I stumbled upon one of Ally's posts on LinkedIn by chance. I knew I desperately needed clarity, I felt like I was walking through a thick fog everyday and felt exhausted. Our first introductory session was meant to be for 60 minutes but we spoke for about 2.5/3hours! The first session itself made me feel a little better but I had no idea how the next 3 months would transform my life.

It has been an incredible journey! Every session made me feel lighter and gave me more clarity. I'm now more confident, energetic and have been re focused to start thinking about the life I want to live and create. Ally is warm, kind and very easy to talk to. He isn't hippy dippy.. no offence to anyone! He isn't a coach that will use buzz word after buzz word nor is he going to make you feel better by giving you a motivational speech, every session.

This journey will be filled with honesty, eye opening realisations and practical steps to push through and achieve what you should be achieving.
