I was referred to Allen and Young by another removals company who couldn’t take my job at the time. Kelvin ensured that I had first class service from Allen and Young. Went out of his way to get Allen, Paul and Andy to pick up my washing machine before coming to mine for the move. The crew arrived promptly and got to work loading the van and dismantling my bulky furniture. They were in sync when dismantling and negotiating stairs. I could not recommend Kelvin and his team highly enough. Kelvin surveyed my flat remotely and estimated the time required to pack and move everything perfectly, despite my thinking he would need a bigger team and more time. The team on the day, lead by Kelvin, were great (Paul, Ricky and Andy). All four had a can do attitude, sound work ethic, very polite and highly amusing to boot. I would highly recommend this team for removals. After a competitive quote and giving good advice, Kelvin and his team took all the stress out of our move. From arriving punctually they were friendly and got on with the job in hand. Despite waiting at our new home for 4 to 5 hours while our solicitors spent all day finalising things (!) the guys were still smiling and finished the job in good time. Absolutely fantastic service moving us from North London to Norfolk. We used Allen and Young for a move from London to Peterborough. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They estimated that we’d need two Luton vans from looking at some videos I sent over and they were spot on. We did our own packing but requested a king size bed be dismantled and put back together again. When we got to the new property they’d already put it back together before I arrived. Kelvin and his team are absolutely fantastic! They moved us from a 2nd floor flat with no lift, to another 2nd floor flat with no lift. Although there was a 6 man crew, they really had their work cut out as we have A LOT of stuff, and many pieces of exceptionally heavy furniture, including a complete all in one huge brick built fireplace. We hadn't even fully finished packing by the time they arrived on the day, and they all just got stuck in and did it. Not one item of furniture or any of our possessions were damaged or broken, nor did anything go missing. Also their removal costs are extremely acceptable. As well as being the loveliest bunch of guys, they worked tirelessly from 8am to 9pm without a single complaint. I would recommend Allen and Young to anybody who is moving and wants total professionalism, and for all their possessions and furniture to be handled with the upmost care. Kelvin and his team were absolutely superb on the day of my move. Timely, efficient and very much in control all the way. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was perfectly packed, boxes conveniently and accurately marked and zero damage. Larger items which required dismantling were transported and put back together without a hitch. There aren’t enough words in the English language to describe just how amazing the team were today! They arrived early, made us feel at ease all day even though completion wasn’t plain sailing due to issues with the sellers. The team were professional, courteous, had a “can do” attitude throughout the day even though they were working in 35+ degrees heat, friendly, thorough in every aspect of moving us in and out of our homes! We had used Allen and Young for a previous move back in August and didn't hesitate to book them again for our move this time. Kelvin was great with communication and very reliable. He arrived exactly at the agreed time and was fully prepared with blankets and straps etc. He was very careful with all of our belongings and everything arrived in perfect condition at our destination. He was a skilled and careful driver and also had a great knowledge of the most efficient way to pack both the van and storage unit so that everything was protected and to maximize full use of the space.
