What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret is to make people relaxed and natural. If people are nervous or not relaxed it can make the photos look unnatural. I pride myself in relaxing friends and family and also taking candid shots that capture the magic of the day.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What do you want? It sounds straight forward, but some photographers enforce a particular style onto the client. At the end of the day I am an employee, the couples opinion is the most important part of the process.
What do you love most about your job?
Being part of someone’s special day and creating memories to last a lifetime. It’s an honour to be at someone’s wedding and I treat each one as special as the last.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was a photographer already when I got married. When we got our photos back I was disappointed that the photographer had missed candid moments that I had noticed throughout the day. I knew then that I could do a better job.
Why should our clients choose you?
For my friendly and creative approach. Clients have often said it’s like having a friend take the photographs and I take great pride from that.
