Hello! My name is Alexandru and I am a concert pianist and piano teacher based in Greenwich area.

Growing up music has always been part of my life and has become a defining element for my personality and who I am as a person. I am very passionate about my craft and I take pride in having the opportunity to share with others ideas and methods of mastering this ultimate form of art.

I have recently finished my piano degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and started teaching full time. I am offering piano lessons to students of all ages and all levels (up to degree level).

If you are looking to work towards grades exams or just to explore your passion for music I am excited to share the beauty of music study with you. Lessons with me are always friendly, respectful and focused on the student’s needs using their strengths to achieve progress.

Depending on each student I am also discussing music theory as related to piano practice. Understanding the musical language is the only way of using it in a convincing manner and with ease and pleasure.

In our first lesson we will get to know each other and talk about what your interests and goals are regarding music, see what the starting point is and decide on some material to get us started. As we go I will discuss various aspects of piano good piano technique, tone, dynamic range, rhythm, efficiency of movement, posture and many others.

My rates are the following: £30/hour ; £25/ 45 minutes or £20/ half an hour.
The amount of time you would like our lesson to last for is up to you but I recommend an hour for students that are not complete beginners ( grade 4 or above). Lessons take place in person (at my studio on a wonderful Yamaha upright) OR online.
