How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
The best way to determine if your garage is suitable for a conversion is to measure if there is enough height above finished floor level to provide a comfortable ceiling height. Check that there is enough depth below finished floor level for suitable insulation to be installed.

How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Is there sufficient head height after structural elements have been installed. Further insulation that is required for thermal efficiency can reduce the height and width also.
Ideally 2.4m from finished floor to ceiling, would be what we would aim to achieve as a ceiling height. However in some circumstances above 2m is acceptable.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Asses existin structure. provide support and install new structural elements to ensure loft is fully braced before removing any existing rafters that obstruct the new converted space.
First fix electrical, plumbing and heating elements would be installed prior to flooring and insulation being installed. Moving along the room would then be ready for sheeting and plastering ahead of painting and secondary fix.
