I am 67 years old and have been attending Annes exercise class for about 18 months now. I feel fitter and more energetic than I have in a while and have also lost some weight. Anne is knowledgeable and allows for all abilities. I thoroughly enjoy the classes, we have a lot of fun and I feel a great sense of achievement at the end of each session. More...

I joined Anne a few years ago & never looked back,I have dodgy knees & decided to keep moving instead of giving in to them, Anne is brilliant & will adapt my training if my knees are feeling a bit iffy, I have recently seen a chiropractor & he said I’m doing all the right things by keeping moving & active & actually said I was doing great for my age (63) 😍 I believe Anne has contributed to this,
Anne’s classes are so much fun & all the ladies there are an amazing support system for each other, I always feel fantastic & full of beans when the class has finished, if your thinking of joining a class you will not regret the decision to join this one, I certainly didn’t, it the best thing I ever did More...

Anne is excellent at making sure each persons workout suits their ability, whilst gently pushing you to try that bit extra each time.
Anne’s fitness knowledge is second to none and I would highly recommend you to try her either as a personal trainer or a group coach, particularly if you don’t want to work out with someone half your age.

I have worked with Anne for over a year and really feel the benefit from the personally designed exercise programme she has tailored for me, even though at first I found it slightly daunting Anne soon made me realise the techniques to use to enable me to complete the programme. She always makes the time fly and a giggle helps along the way. More...

Q&As

Having a personal trainer can make the difference between ongoing success and repeated disappointments. With an in-depth initial assessment of your current fitness levels, past exercise/activity levels, likes, dislikes and goals, I can write a programme of exercise appropriate for YOU. As we work together, I offer regular reviews of your progress and ongoing goals to ensure continued relevance to your needs and expectations.
Although the effort and central motivation must come from you, I come with additional enthusiasm to help you enjoy your exercise and celebrate your progressions.

There are no 'quick fixes' or 'magic bullets' for achieving your goals, despite what the adverts, and some of those awful 'ab machine' adverts say. Success comes from hard work and determination. With the right diet and the right amount of exercise, anyone can achieve the body beautiful. Diet and exercise go hand-in-hand if you want to transform your body shape. Even if you just want to become a fitter and healthier you, it takes time, effort and real motivation towards realistic goals.
I can help you formulate those goals so that they are achievable and right for YOU.

I passionately believe in health and wellbeing for everyone! I want to share this passion so that more and more people can enjoy the increase in strength, functionality and mental fitness. The joy of success and achievements is very empowering and uplifting. I know this from personal experience, having previously struggled with weight problems, and I love seeing that look on the faces of others, sharing in those successes and feeling that I have been partly instrumental in that person's achievements.
Imagine the joy of finding yourself able to do something you haven't been able to do for a long time (or even ever) - the amazing effect that exercise can have on your mental health too! Fitting into your favourite clothes after keeping them in the wardrobe 'just in case'. Completing the obstacle race you never even dreamed you'd enter. Feeling fitter and healthier than you've ever been before!
This is my favourite part of being a personal trainer - watching those goals being achieved and surpassed and sharing in the pride that comes from success.

Before I retired from full time work, I was a primary school teacher. I saw a number of seriously obese children with parents who didn't know what to do about it. I also had an elderly mother who gave up because everything started going wrong. And, in between all that, a lot of people who were just plain unhealthy. I decided that I really wanted to do something about it and, as I was heading for retirement, set my plan into action. I began studying towards the end of my school teaching career so that I would have the qualifications in place to begin a personal training business when the time was right.
One of my first 'practice' subjects was my husband who was recovering from a heart attack due to high cholesterol and obesity. With my help he improved his diet, lost weight and increased his fitness levels significantly. His blood pressure is now almost normal and no longer has a cholesterol problem.
To use a seriously corny misquote - The proof of the pudding is in NOT eating it!!

For anyone who wants to train either in their own home or outside, perhaps in a local park, I have the motivational skills, firm but friendly approach (with a somewhat quirky sense of humour), wide knowledge of a range of training methods, which I continually update alongside developments in the fitness industry, and the passion to help you achieve your goals.
While it is helpful for clients to have some small equipment of their own (for use in between training sessions) I bring with me a range of portable equipment to add variety and challenge to fitness workouts.
Although I am not a qualified Nutritionist, I have the knowledge and experience to help you make healthy dietary modifications on a long term, life-style, basis, if that is what you require.
For each client who chooses me as their trainer, I will bring my own personal experience and passion and share in your journey to health, fitness and happiness.
