All patrol routes, site risks, perimeter boundaries and any other potential ‘hot spots’ are identified through the survey; actions are proposed, agreed upon, and implemented. On Arrival Site Security officer’s will sign in and report directly to the site management team Any special requirements are discussed: for example, the holding of keys or any out of hours access by members of staff or deliveries must be communicated A walk around patrol is conducted alongside the site manager to determine any changes in materials, perimeter boundary or vehicle positioning A handover signature is taken from the site management to confirm the handover of the site to the security team Patrols Regular site patrols are conducted at specified intervals The officer will patrol the whole of the site where accessible; checking windows, doors, gates and internal/external boundaries. Construction plant machinery is checked and recorded Any damage, unsecured windows or doors are logged and reported All vehicles on site at the start of the shift will be logged and any movement during the shift will also be reported on On Leaving All fences, doors, gates and windows are inspected Site keys are handed over to the site management team Security Officer will ensure the welfare facilities are left clean and tidy A final handover signature is taken from the site management team, confirming the site has been handed back over

Security Training.
Getting ready, staying ready. At Superior, we start as we mean to go on. Every Security Officer’s career begins with a three-part induction.
Part 1 - Induction Training
For New Recruits All new recruits (including those who transferred under TUPE) complete a four-day off-site security induction training course to BS7499 standard, as approved by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). If necessary, arrangements will be put in place to ensure that training does not affect the level of cover. Exact course content will be tailored and agreed with each client. Typically, the course covers the following topics: Duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer Patrolling Access control Searching Security and emergency systems Fire awareness and dealing with emergencies Health and safety at work The law, crime scene preservation and evidence Customer care skills Communication skills and reporting Equal opportunities, discrimination (racial, sexual, disability, harassment) Avoiding conflict and reducing risk (role play scenario) Defusing conflict (role play scenario) Resolving conflict Post incident considerations and learning from conflict Trainees will sit two examinations as part of the four-day course.
Part 2 - Site Specific Training
Once assigned to a contract, Security Officers undergo specific training. Tailored to the needs of the contract and the client’s Assignment Instructions, training covers areas such as: Customer care Assignment security duties Appearance, attitude and conduct Legal restriction on arrest, search and seizure Detection, control and reporting of fires Use of portable fire fighting equipment Basic report writing and verbal communications Procedures to be used to notify the police of criminal activity or emergency Control Room Operations Safe Child lost child procedure This training is normally carried out on site, at the end of which Security Officers will be tested. The Operations Manager will ensure that all Security Officers have passed the Site Specific Training Programme.
Part 3 - Continuation Training
A significant percentage of Superior Security Management Team have been promoted from within the business. ADAPT SECURITY MANNED GUARDING LTD ongoing development programme ensures that staff maintain the highest standards and keep abreast of technological advancements, industry best practice and any changes to regulatory or contract requirements. When designing development programmes, input is encouraged from the client by Superior Operational Managers. Continuation Training will include: Assignment Training to prepare personnel for specific duties. Client and site requirements will determine the subject matter and the duration of training. Specialist Training to match a client’s requirements, such as First Aid, Fire, Lift and Plant Training. Site Refresher Training carried out by the Operational Supervisors or by the Customer Service Manager as necessary to ensure compliance with client and site requirements. Typically, these Assignment Instructions might include: Details of the proposed allocation of staff to cover shift patterns Identifying specific training needs – both prior to the contract start and ongoing Compliance with the European Working Time Directive Liaison with local Police and Crime Prevention Officers A schedule of regular meetings and reviews with ADAPT SECURITY MANNED GUARDING LTD Management. Providing strategic direction to the development of our business, they'll also meet regularly with you to look after yours. They'll listen to and sort out the big issues, while your dedicated manager works at the coal face, agreeing and implementing detailed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each of the security services you’ve opted for. Depending on your requirements, the following meetings will be put in place: Quality Review meetings Monthly or quarterly, your CSM will meet with key personnel you have assigned. Also present at least once a quarter will be one of Superior’s Senior Managers or Directors. These minuted meetings will provide an opportunity to formally review all aspects of the contract. Quality Performance Review Bi-annually, we invite our clients to complete an in-depth questionnaire that covers areas as diverse as training and contract performance, down to feedback on our Officers’ appearance and their attitude to staff and visitors. Quality Audits We will carry out regular checks to ensure our standards never flag. These independent audits are carried out by personnel who are not involved in the contract. Superior’s Quality, Health & Safety and Training Director will also carry out a separate quarterly review. Finally, Profile’s own network of offices and our mobile teams are subject to regular scrutiny by a number of professional bodies. These include, but are not limited to, regulatory bodies such as the Security Industry Authority, the National Security Inspectorate and the Safe Contractor Scheme. SLAs and KPIs Integral to our Security Management systems, these clearly define what we will deliver and monitor how well we do it. Long before you sign a contract with Superior's, you will know exactly what you can expect from us and what we have committed to. Our Service Level Agreements are tailored to your organisation’s needs, to your infrastructure, your premises and your people. Then, as the contract gets underway, we start to measure these Service Levels using Key Performance Indicators to make sure we meet and exceed your expectations. In the process, we measure the effectiveness of each individual Security Officer as well as our performance overall against the contract’s Assignment Instructions and agreed Service Level Agreements.
