I recommend this place to everyone I know. Ten years ago I seriously damaged my pelvis by jolting it falling down some stairs and misaligning the pelvis. Because I didn't know anything about my pelvis, back or managing the pain at the time I became fairly disabled to do much at all. By becoming more sedentary I spiralled into less strength and more fear of pain, and even left university. Then I found Sacha, one of the FANTASTIC physios at Active health. It took a while of steady appointments and exercises, but Sacha worked total miracles! Not only did she deal with pain instantly on the day at probably 90% of my appointments. She 100% always helped and improved my back to full strength. She also loves to educate patients to sort out pain at home as much as possible. I never felt that she was stringing me along to make money as I had felt at previous organisations. She let my husband come and learn about my back and how to help massage or push in the right places too so we could manage the pain at home. She didn't just get my back better, she equipped me to understand my body and strengthen my core to beyond the strength it was pre-injury!! I will still occassionally drop in for MOT sessions because I trust the expertise and support at Active Health for long term good health. But I have since managed two pregnancies with no back problems at all and no longer experience back problems. 3 Members of our team and >3 other friends and family have had treatment from Robin Marshall. It goes without saying that his work and service is exemplary. Not only incredibly knowledgable and competent in his field, he is also a very nice fellow who helps you understand the issue - in order to aid prevention going forward. In many of our cases he has significantly improved or even cured issues where others (in the same field) have simply failed, I believe this is through his incredible breadth of education which allows him to tackle symptoms from various angles. I saw Emma for pain with an old shoulder injury and then later for some trouble with my knees. Having had lower back problems since I was a child, when I fell pregnant at 24 the problems escalated. By 20 weeks I had to be strapped up for support, by 27 weeks I was using crutches and by 36 weeks I was told to use a wheel chair! In the next 10 years to follow I had three further episodes of badly prolapsed discs and was having to live with pain and pain killers on a daily bases. As my husband and I hoped to have another child I knew I had to do something else as treatments through the Nhs weren’t helping. Through recommendation I saw Robin. With only three treatments my back problems and pain were cured and to prove this, 13 years later I carried another baby, to late term with no back problems what so ever!!Incredible! Amazing physio! I came in after I did my leg in after a hike and was unable to walk without pain for 2 weeks without it getting any better by itself. After one session with Emma I was able to walk again pain free on flat ground and with each session being able to get back to walking without any pain, as well as loosening up other tight muscles that will help prevent the pain returning. Probably one of the chiropractors in the area. Robin Marshall has been treating me for the last 10 years. I have back and neck injuries that can't be put right but can be maintained. This chiropractor is very well educated and looks at your health and what you are putting into your body. You are what you eat. Having seen meny chiropractors and other health professionals robin is very passionate about what he does and has a thirst for knowledge always looking to better himself and understand more about the human body this is probably why he's so popular and booked up alot and I would go to say probably fast becoming one of the finest chiropractors in the country. Using my son's google account as I don't have one - I never add ratings but this time I just have to - Robin Marshall is a wizard! Simple as that. Whatever your problem, go see him. I arrived in pain but left without it - ok, a little tender after some manipulation - but fixed. I have been suffering with foot paint for several weeks and that has been seriously limiting the amount I could walk. Before (sceptically) attending an appointment with the Active Health Clinic, I visited my GP but my symptoms persisted. Robin diagnosed my foot problem incredibly quickly and now I feel no more pain!! Robin is very friendly, very knowledgeable and so passionate about what he does.
