We target our services at small businesses, ie sole traders/partnerships and limited companies classed as small or micro-entity. The services we provide can broadly be described as follows:

> Management reporting and financial analysis - we help business owners to really understand how their business is performing.
> Preparation of year-end accounts.
> VAT returns and compliance.
> Payroll, including assistance with auto-enrolment.
> Self-Assessment Tax Returns.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
The relationship between bookkeeper and client has to be one based on trust - you the client need to be able to trust that your financial affairs will be handled with the utmost professionalism, honesty and integrity. Especially is the case with the bookkeeping function, due to the more intimate, day-to-day, involvement.
We take very seriously the need to build such relationships with our clients and, being a small company aiming to particularly serve the needs of other small businesses, we stand very placed to fulfil this objective; indeed we have done so already with numerous clients, as our reviews testify.
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to help businesses streamline their accounting procedures, thereby removing the pressure from the owners, and helping business owners to have a clear understanding of how their business is performing, providing answers to such questions as: what changes can be made in order to improve profit margins? Or, what do trends indicate as to likely future performance?
What inspired you to start your own business?
To be more intimately involved in the workings of successful businesses and, if they are not successful at the start of my involvement, to be an integral part of driving the business towards future successes.

The owner and founder of Accubooks Ltd is Alister Curran. Alister is a full member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and has been for over 10 years. Alister brings a wealth of experience to the company, experience accumulated over many years of working in both practice and industry. The skills and insight acquired during that time leave him very well placed to add real value to the clients served by the company.
