A concerned tenant
We were a tenant in a property managed by acara for three years. They were non responsive and when they came to fix issues finally they were rude.

Acara's lack of professionalism and accountability regarding their work and building management is deeply disappointing.
We have noted that Paul, the company's leader, seems unconcerned with the quality of their work, accepting jobs regardless of competence and resorting to dishonest and misleading communication to cover up shortcomings.
For over two years, Acara has managed our building, yet their performance in work quality, repair management, and communication is below standard. They consistently failed to inform insurers about building issues, leading to further property damage, lesser insurance coverage and residents having to invest personal time to address their lack of professionalism.
I strongly advise avoiding Acara if you value your time and money.

Paul and the team have been very responsive, hands-on and knowledgeable right from the beginning. Acara has been managing our property for around 2 years and I have no complains: No problem is ever too big - even in case of emergency - and all solutions are always discussed and costed in debt before implementation. Acara's team also refurbished our out worn out flat into a little gem (this resulted in our rental increasing by around 25%). During the project, Acara always kept us up to date and the refurbishment was delivered within budget (it's important to point out that although we're based overseas but that made little difference). I used Acara to manage AirBnB hosting while I was out of the country for 5 months in 2018. Most of the big name AirBnB management companies in London consider Richmond to be "too far out" and won't take properties on. With Acara's great location in central Richmond, they were an easy choice to make.Property managers have a terrible reputation as "cowboys" and sadly that has been exactly my experience with other companies. Acara are refreshingly different. Paul and Elliot are very friendly, responsive and genuinely pleasant to deal with. Their communication with guests was excellent and very positive guest reviews reflect their professionalim. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for AirBnB management in the Richmond area.I did have one problem with my instructions not being followed on some bathroom maintenance work. This resulted in the plumber having to return to the property to rectify the installation. Acara requested me to pay the extra plumber bill, which obviously I refused to do. I have worked with Acara for a couple of years now and have always found them readily available, very efficient when problems arise, and really great all round to deal with.
The staff are very knowledgeable and were not only able to get things fixed quickly, but also advise me on my rights and responsibilities as a landlord so I’m up to date.
All my property ownership troubles have disappeared and my tenants think they’re great too!
