We needed a new cooker installing after currys advised they couldn't do it due to needing a bigger fuse and upgraded wire. Carl came out to quote the job at short notice and even managed to sort it straight away. Very polite and professional. I am the owner of a small business and when I had an attempted break in AC Electricals were my first call, they came out in a shot and were able to fix everything from all broken exterior light fittings to re securing the cameras and our security lights, they also gave me a few pointers in which to deter the "bad guys" or at least make it a lot harder for them to break in. So a massive thank you to Tim Clarke, Peter Hampshire and Teresa ( in the office), for making a very angry lady to a happy more secure premises at Sandyacres Sports & Social Centre Ashford.!!!! Solar Photovoltaic Installations, Solar Panels
As MCS installers, NICEIC Approved Contractors and RECC we installing Solar PV panels, it is a great way of reducing your electricity bill as well as your carbon footprint. Solar panels produce electricity from the sunlight and this is converted into usable energy by an inverter that feeds it into your fuse board for use within your house, any excess can be exported to the grid for which you get paid for. If you fit a battery storage system then you can store the excess to be used when you need it.
Battery Storage Systems
A battery storage system can be used to store electricity generated for a Solar PV system or a wind turbine. If you don't have these it is not a problem as it can be used to store electricity at the cheaper night time tariff, which can be used during the day when electricity is much more expensive to buy. Just check with your supplier that you are on a dual tariff to benefit.
Electrical Infra Red Panels and Heaters
Infra red heating is a great way to heat your home or business. By heating the objects, walls and floor of the room the room feels warmer with a more comfortable natural heat that doesn't dry the air. It is an energy efficient and cheap means of heating your property.
Voltage Optimiser
A voltage optimiser is a device that reduces the voltage in your property, appliances are designed to work at 220v the average voltage supplied by the electricity grid is 242v. The higher voltage will cause your appliance sto fail prematurely and use more electricty than needed by fitting a voltage optimiser you can reduce your electricity use and reduce your bills as well as doing your bit for the environment. We can fit a voltage optimiser at the incoming supply and they are suitable for use with a PV system as well.
Electrical Installation testing and reports
Over a period of time an electrical installation will need testing to ensure that it is safe for continued use. By carrying out a test called an Electrical Installation Condition Report using a sophisticated calibrated test meter a number of tests are carried out on the electrics and the results recorded. Any problems can be identified and resolved before they become a risk to you or your family. A report showing the state of the electrics is produced for you to keep to show they are safe to use.
Thermal Imaging Survey
The survey is carried out with a special sophisticated camera that shows heat. When there is a problem with an electrical installation heat is produced at that point. By using thermal cameras these problems can be identified and rectified before they become dangerous, this reduces the risk of fires, electrical shocks and damage to the building.
