How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
In most cases if the measurement between the top of the ceiling joist and the bottom of the ridge board is 2.3 metres or more your loft can be converted.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
first we need to have detailed plans drawn by our architect who will submit them to your local planning department if needed or building control if permited development is applied for.
Next we build the structural including instuling steel girders to support the new dormer.
Next the dormer is erected including weathering to flat roof, tile hanging and windows.
Next are the internal works, first fix electrics, plumbing, insulation plaster boarding and plastering.
Next are the second fix items, electrics, plumbing and carpentry work.
Final stage is the hand over by your local authority and the issuing of certificates.
What do you love most about your job?
The thing I like most is to see we have provided the customers we work with (a) the conversion they actually want (b) the happy customer when they see their new loft space for the first time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been in the building trade for the past 30 years, so have been invoked in all types of building work and trades but particularly enjoy the challenges that come with building loft conversions.

Full Kitchen refurbishments
We offer a full design service. we undertake all aspects of refurbishment including any demolition work ie removal of walls and Steel work installed, all electrical work, all gas work and certification will be given on completion.
Velux windows
Installation of velux widows to loft areas, we also fit sun tunnels.
