I was recommended Abnormal event’s after a the DJ I had booked, could no longer attend my event. It was for my husbands 30th birthday and I was sent DJ Brad who was absolutely incredible. Very professional. The set up, lights etc all looked incredible and made the stage. I told Brad the type of music my husband liked, and special requests he had passed onto me and all of them were played. The dance floor was always full & people were always up dancing. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
The biggest secret (Well more of a skill than secret) is reading the room. Catering for everyone's music taste and style. It's about not playing long winded songs, creating edits that bring an electric atmosphere. And Most of all, if the DJ is looking like he/ she is having fun this will pass on to the crowd.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Our Style is very much about not playing the songs you want to hear, it's playing the music you didn't even realise you wanted to hear. There's 100s of DJ's out there that all offer the same thing, same service, same style. We pride on being the best in the business. From the smallest detail right to the big moments.
What do you love most about your job?
I love most about the industry is meeting new people, being able to literally make peoples dreams come true. People are so diverse in their tastes and expectations and I am able to offer a service that is so diverse to meet those expectations.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been a self employed DJ for over 10 years. Mainly Weekends alongside a normal 9-5 job and during COVID realised there was so much potential to step foot in the market of a business full time. I have always had excellent management skills from a young age and could incorporate that into running an entertainments business.

Clients should choose Abnormal Events because we're experienced, friendly, honest and reliable. We've sat in their seat and have thought about the concerns and worries they have. Whether its planning their dream wedding day or making a milestone birthday one to remember we work hard to cover all aspects.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
The only thing really we can do remotely is our quiz nights in hosting zoom quizzes for families, overseas friends or parties done online. Djing can be done remotely but it is not something we are keen on as the atmosphere is very hard to control.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All our DJ's and hosts carry Anti- Bac Handwash. Our equipment in sanitised where we can and we moved our consultations online to minimise contact.
