The sessions have been effective and we can see good progress in our nine year old dog that we adopted when she was eight. At time of writing we have three of eight sessions to go. We have tried another trainer before but that person was nowhere near as good as A Pawsitive Step. More...

Our puppy Maggie had a great time attending the one hour session once a week over a six week duration and we would highly recommend these classes to any one with a new puppy.

What do you love most about your job?
Helping people understand more about their beloved companion or companions, than they thought possible. Seeing the 'wow' moments and the transformations resulting in happier Dogs and even happier owners...or should that be 'Staff'! ;-)
What inspired you to start your own business?
My Mentor, the current science available for animal welfare, but most importantly, the knowledge now available that truly provides an even better, more considered approach to Dog training. Train for the situation to come, not whilst you're in the situation.

I actually believe that due to the surge in Dog ownership, existing owners as well as new ones miss the subtleties that you spot in face to face training. online training is a great start but it's the detail that truly propels your relationship forward with your companions and only someone who's with you in person can help you spot and work with those moments.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I had my Booster jab in October 2021, work mostly outdoors and of course, observe current guidelines where common sense is required. I always carry anti bacterial Gell and spare facemasks in my car, should anyone request and will always put my clients concerns first.
Dog Training Classes
Classes based on training the personality of the dog as well as bringing out the best between you and your Dog. held in either blocks of 4 or 6 classes, we training from an enclosed Barn within the Charlton Park Estate. New classes being advertised for the new year soon. Subjects will be Puppy, Adolescent, Senior, Rescue Dog based. Also classes for household manners in general. Suitable for all life stages.
One to One Classes
Booked in either blocks of 4 and then additional sessions dependant on individual requirement.
We start with a 1.5 hours Consultation, with me sending a summary and action plan for the client to start following immediately. This is then followed up with three separate hour long sessions. First session to be mutually agreed between Client and Trainer upon payment, follow-up sessions to be arranged subsequently depending on individual need.
