Although this company has good initial sales and good products their after care is appalling and they also run a scam though their sister business.
I was provided a LandRover Vogue where unfortunately I didn't notice a chip on the windscreen underneath the window wipers. When I then turned on the front window heater this turned the chip into a crack.
4x4 Scotland confirm they do not use their insurance at all and instead have their sister company Buchans for Towbars & Repairs Ltd to repair and charge directly to their customers effectively double dipping fee's whilst ensuring their insurance premiums are low. Invoice for whatever price they decide come from Buchans for Towbars & Repairs Ltd and they simply pass the invoice to you.
I was charged an additional 1154 GBP for this incident and some minor curb rash on one alloy. This set-up of sister companies is a pure scam so they can double dip fees. Owner is Ewan Buchan who after two weeks of promising a callback, never did which show exactly how much they care about their customers. Ewan is only after your money and clearly doesn't care for their customers experience or repeat business which is shame considering i'm a Scot and return back to Scotland every year requiring a car.

These guys are the most professionally run car/off-roader rental firm I’ve come across. Friendly, informative and transparent at each stage of the pre-booking, the agreement, the arrival & the vehicle return process.
