The fear I had when leaving my dogs in 1to1's care was akin to my childrens first day at nursery! There is no-one who would understand my dogs individual little quirky natures. But I was proved wrong. The dogs love them.And we're talking 4 dogs all under 2 years old here! (plus a cat that lives upstairs) They are quite a handful to say the least. Last year we had decided to undertake a holiday to visit family in South Africa but were worried about leaving our two dogs and two cats in kennels. To say our pets are spoilt is an understatement so taking them away from their home and placing them in grey metal kennels nothing but a nightmare for my husband and I. After careful thought and consideration we decided to hire a pet sitter. We searched the internet and came across www.1to1petsitting.co.uk. The website was informative and sparked our interest instantly; not only did they pet sit but they watered plants, put the bins out, collected mail and maintained home security........all in all provided peace of mind. My husband and I filled in the online contact information and within 24 hours B had replied explaining her rates, exact services and ‘getting to know you and the pets’ visit. My husband and I replied; keen to meet up and a major positive was the very quick response time to all the emails and texts sent.On our first meeting B and her husband were very friendly and we were instantly impressed. When we brought our dogs in they made such a fuss of them and they even put up with my sons endless conversations about Harry Potter. Even after an hour of speaking to them both and chatting I felt a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.......our pets would be in great hands!Leading up to our trip B was in constant contact and on the day of us leaving she arrived with her daughter to see us off. Happy that we had left our house and pets in good hands we set off. During the holiday B text us pictures of the dogs and kept us abreast of what they had been up to. I think our pets had as good a holiday as we had!On our return the house was as we left it and the pets well and VERY happy. I have used 1to1 Petsitting services for the past 3 years and am utterly impressed with their attention and devotion to duty! If I cannot be there for my dogs, then it simply has to be Birgit. I can rely on my babes being in the 2nd best hands if it cannot be my own!! From the texts during the day to ease my mind, to the rapid response to my calls....1to1 Petsitting is the only pet sitting service I have come to rely on. I would just like to say a huge thank you to B for looking after our two dogs, Millie (7years) and Pippen (8 months) and 14 year old cat, Mr. Potts during August this year. We were so impressed with how well and happy the animals were when we got home we booked B for 2 more holiday breaks straight away.We contacted B after Millie suffered from stress at a good dog boarding kennel and did not eat for 3 days which discouraged us from taking holidays abroad again.B was fantastic with them all and texted us updates whilst we were away to say how well they were all doing. Home sitting with B is a fabulous solution and easier for the all the animals giving them the walks and attention they love and need. It was also great to know that the house was safe and secure whilst we were away.B is extremely reliable. She has an obvious love of animals and we feel safe in the knowledge that all the animals will be looked after and cared about in our absence.
