I had struggled with gut problems/issues for years, if not my whole life. I was gaining weight even when on a strict diet and exercising regularly, I was tired all the time I was bloated and feeling generally below par. However, given this had gone on years I felt this was my ‘normal’. I met Gillian at a health and wellbeing event and thought I had nothing to lose by getting in contact and discussing how she might be able to help. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. From my first consultation Gillian talked through my issues/complaints/symptoms, my life style my personal and medical history and for the first time I felt that someone was taking me seriously and possibly had a solution to help. Gillian recommended the FODMAP plan for me. I had heard of it and tried it previously and really struggled to get my head around the detail but this time, with the support of Gillian I completed the elimination phase and now mid-way through re-introduction. Gillian made everything seem so straightforward and her advice and recipes where so helpful it almost made this easy. Don’t get me wrong it was challenging but with the recipes and guidance I managed to easily adopt this plan into my way of life and the 8 weeks went really well and I felt the benefits within days. I was anxious about the reintroduction phase given I had such a positive response to the elimination but again Gillian was so helpful in her advice that a week at a time I am working my way through it. I cannot recommend Gillian highly enough for her help, support and guidance. I have never felt better in myself. Gillian was fantastic at helping us. She provided excellent tailored diet solutions, was extremely open very easy to chat to made us feel very welcome. The idea's she gave us to improve out whole families diet were wonderfully inventive. Speaking as someone who was always a "picky" eater, I have to say I never thought I would have eaten avocados or other particular veg, but with Gillian's help out whole family is now benefiting from a healthier diet.Gillian also provided advice on how we can better sleep! I followed the Low FODMAP for IBS Programme with Gillian. The programme itself is thorough and is accompanied with great support from Gillian whenever needed. Gillian responded to all my queries in a very fast and patient manner. I had a 95% reduction in IBS symptoms and have never felt better and I'm now beginning to reintroduce high FODMAPs to see my problem foods. In addition to a significant improvement in my IBS, my diet is now much healthier and I am feeling much happier. I saw Gillian regarding weight gain and fatigue. Part of my unhealthy food choices was due to a fluctuation of my blood sugars due to medication I was taking for a long term illness. Gillian tailor-made a plan for me to help me with hunger pangs and to eat healthier which I'm enjoying. I've lost some weight slowly and feel better physically. Things are going the right way. Over the years I have suffered from GORD, chronic acid reflux disease and bouts of depression. I want to eventually come off all medication and try a holistric approach to improve my overall health and manage my GORD. The low fodmap diet was easy to follow and made a noticeable difference to my well being. Within a week my depression eased and my energy levels improved. Gillian was recommended to me by a friend after my 9yo was diagnosed with severe UC. We wanted some expert advice on what we could do to get him back to good health, reduce the side effects from steroids and all the medications he has to take and help with diet to prevent future flare ups etc.
Gillian was very kind, she really engaged with my son, talking about footballers diets etc. She talked to him, asked his preferences etc, spoke of the importance of his diet. She gave us plenty of proper, researched advice, but she was sensible too. I think my son was afraid she would demand he ate dreaded lettuce all day! But the plan she came up with for him was really achievable. There were plenty of small changes we could make, and she emailed lots of recipes etc to us. Both my son and I found Gillian a great help and we would not hesitate to recommend her to others.

I have been on many diets in my life time where I have lost weight but unfortunately it always found it's way back to me. I have also through the years become confused about what I should & shouldn't be eating . So I decided I needed to make a life style change & get re-educated about food. I did a search & contacted Gillian & I was not disappointed. At our first meeting she instantly made me feel comfortable & relaxed. She took a holistic approach to understand my current life style & health that no one has ever done before. She made numerous recommendations on food choices, recipes & supplements to help me move forward & motivate me to make the changes I need to. Since seeing Gillian, I am feeling better, I have more energy & I am eating healthier but with foods I enjoy. My food choices have changed from being beige to more like a rainbow. I was struggling with a diagnosis with a bowel disease which landed me in the Ulster for a couple of weeks over a period of 2 months! I found Gillian when a friend suggested looking up private dietitian near to home. (My nearest nhs appt is december!) with diverticulitis I knew through googling and reading that diet plays a huge impact. Gillian recommended the low fodmap diet which to this day I am still following (though not as strictly!) I know which foods now trigger the exteme pains and visits to the WC. There isn't a cure for this disease but there is a solution...knowing triggers and listening to your body. More...

121 Dietitian is a true professional who has been treating me on various issues for more almost 10 years - she's my go to advisor and I would recommend the confidentiality with which she treats her patients to anyone, Following a thyroidectomy she provided invaluable advice on which supplements I should be taking etc and has worked with me to advise on simple and manageable lifestyle changes assisting in my relationship with food - changes which have long lasting effects.
