What do you love most about your job?

Handling natural material, shaping it and finishing with a unique feature asthetically pleasing to the eye. Developing the craft and art for present and future generations to consider at times of reflection. Working alone or small group and using own initiative.
Working outside, developing something new, maintaining repairing the old.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Watching a master craftsman waller and eventually working alongside him during my formative years living on the family farm in East Lancashire. Observing the different techniques used throughout the world. Wanting to explore and practice the art and craft of dry stone walling and develop my own style and fulfil my imagination.
Brickwork inspiration from labouring for craftsmen building a range of features, repairing and maintaining existing.
