Site Appraisal
A Site Appraisal is a first step in the planning process. It will give you important information about your project’s chance of success with the planning authorities. It is not in your interest or ours, to lodge a planning application that does not have a good chance of success.
A site appraisal will review a number of factors. These include the site context, local facilities and the planning history of the site We also look at the local authority’s current policy position and its recent planning decisions. National policy may also be relevant. We will research any relevant precedents and legal decisions.
The Site Appraisal will identify the opportunities offered by the site. And also its constraints and any risks which need to be taken into account.
A Site Appraisal is a valuable part of the decision making process. If you decide to go ahead you can now do so speedily and with confidence.
Planning Application Submission
We support our clients through every stage of the planning process. At WPS Planning we will:

We will then prepare and submit your planning application and carry out all necessary negotiations with case officers and relevant stakeholders.
Planning Appeals
If you are refused planning permission, there is a right of appeal to the Planning Inspectorate. And the good news is that many appeals are successful. Around 1 in 3 in fact!
So don’t be too downhearted. With the right information and advice your appeal stands a good chance of being successful.
But first, it is worth making sure that all other options have been exhausted. Sometimes additional negotiation with your local council is all that is required.
However, sometimes an appeal is the only way forward. If it’s a Householder Appeal you must submit it within just 12 weeks of your application being refused.
