My sessions with Sam are something of an oasis in my week. The workouts are great and motivating (although the exercise with a bit of kit that looks like a rotating handcuff is a killer! ). I’d like to do more but am away a lot and it’s sometimes hard to find a time, but Sam is always flexible. We have some great chats too and I sometimes need to remind myself to pick up a weight! I am so impressed with Sam’s knowledge and patience. I have suffered with two bulging discs in my lower back for around 9 years, popping painkillers whenever needed.
Physio after physio told me to strengthen my core, without showing me how. So I used to just sit on a bike or walk on a treadmill in the gym just to burn some calories. Although I always wanted to, the very thought of lifting weights used to make my back hurt!
After 4 weeks now under Sam’s guidance, I am now squatting (back/goblet), and dead lifting! I am proud of how far I have come, and I haven’t had a painkiller since he wrote his training program for me. Admittedly it does ache a little sometimes, but I honestly feel it’s because I’m getting stronger.
If you put the work in by following his program, the results are your reward. You will feel great.
I haven’t felt this fit and strong, and pain free (apart from aching muscles!) for almost a decade.
