Initially seemed profession providing a detailed quote and plans. However, the quality of the work they provided has been very poor and has not met expected standards. There has been many issues with the gardening renovation and building of a wooden Pergola that they did for us. These have required extensive rectification which we have felt we have had no choice but to do ourselves as we would not want them back and much of the work needed immediate attention which we were not confident that they would provide either in a timely manner or to a good enough standard. We did contact them on a number of occasions to outline our issues but never really received satisfactory responses. In addition to the poor quality of work the project also overran with many of the delays due to them not being on site for much of the time during the first 5 weeks of a projected 4-6 week schedule. Measure the loft height. Get an internal height of the roof to ensure you have about 2.5 Meters void to build the room structure.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Get the Measurements of the roof environment.
List all components occupying the roof: Water Tank, Aerials or cables, Boiler, chimney stack, etc
If its a major extension get a structural engineer report of the existing building.
Get an Architectural designer to provide a structural plan and Floor.
Use plans to decide if any dormers or roof structures require planning permission.
Prepare the property for renovation works.
