What’s your interior design process?
Inspire
Your home or workplace is a reflection of you. It is a personal process and is vital that everyone involved feels comfortable. We always request an initial meeting with prospective clients to introduce ourselves – meet you – and give both parties an opportunity to gain a sense of chemistry.
You talk – we listen.
We discuss the project’s design brief in full and begin to form a sense of how the space will be used. Details, for example; Do you entertain frequently? Do you have pets? Children or extended family to take into consideration? We discuss preferred styles, colours and atmosphere.
We take your thoughts and needs and inspire you with ideas that you may not have thought of; always with a focus on budget and reality.
Design
This is where it gets exciting. Once Ann has spent time with you, Ann will begin the creative process. This will involve drawing up floor plans and key elevations, researching furnishings and materials, right through to the finishing touches.
Ann will then meet with you for a presentation of the overall concept; giving you mood boards, inspirational images along with material samples which will all be tailored to your bespoke design.
Deliver
Your project becomes our project and we remain involved throughout. You can depend on us to deliver your interior project to you. Gaining access to our suppliers network of our tried and trusted contractors, suppliers and craftspeople guarantees a project delivered on budget, within timescales – every time.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I have a passion for most styles as they are all unique and tell a story. I have a passion for Art Deco, Contemporary, Vintage and Industrial. I also love to put old with new.
However through the initial consultation I have with clients I establish what styles suit them and design with the clients likes and dislikes, to give them a scheme they will love.
What do you love most about your job?
I am continually inspired by good design, whether it’s floral display in a shop, a poster advertisement or natural beauty. Anything that ignites an emotional response excites me. I am always photographing anything I find interesting and taking notes. It may be beautiful architecture, a stunning garden or the beach after a spring tide. I love helping my clients create amazing spaces that work for them and they enjoy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Ann, a mother of three, lives on an island in Essex with her husband, children and Teddy the dog. Enjoying long walks along the beach and getting out on the water in the summer, Ann makes the most of her surroundings.
With a background in property, full-time interior design has always been Ann’s goal. With her children now older she set up on her own doing what she loves.
“My first ever job organising show homes and selling new properties, it was then I knew what I wanted to do. The children were young and I suppose I wasn’t quite brave enough.”
After 15 years in property Ann started to venture towards her dream and started doing interior design part-time whilst running courses teaching upcycling and paint techniques.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have launched our services online over Zoom meetings, We were masks when visiting properties and hand sanitisers. We ensure that the household is Covid free before visit and if we were to come in to contact with anyone with Covid we will isolate for the 14 days before continuing with visits.
All trades are asked before they go to properties.
We are very aware and want to insure all our clients are safe and that we don't bring the virus to them.
THE DESIGN PACKAGE
This is for you if you are looking for structural changes to your space. This package would suite you if you are looking for:
New layout and design of a room / area in relation to how the space should flow
Structural changes
Specific lighting/electric requirements (over and above the replacement of fixtures)
This option allows you to see the design and space layout drawn to scale and in colour, providing you with both floor plans and elevations drawn to scale. Along with stunning mood boards for each room, a lighting plan and a detailed ‘Items Report’ will be provided – this is a listing all furniture, flooring, wall coverings, light fixtures and soft furnishings. All of this is done whilst keeping to your budget!
At this point you may wish to commission us to project manage the design or alternatively decide to manage the project yourself. Either way this level provides you with a real visual sense of how your final scheme will work within the designated space. If you decide to manage the project yourself you will be able to take away the mood boards, detailed drawings and product report needed to self-manage.
DESIGN CONSULTATION
The Design Consultation is ideal if are happy with the way your room / space works and there is no need for any structural changes, but you are looking at creating a completely new look and style.
Gathering detailed information in relation to your likes, dislikes and aspirations for your room, we will create a truly bespoke interior that reflects your personality and lifestyle – whilst keeping to your budget.
Drawing on our knowledge of the very latest trends and ideas and our desire to create beautiful and inspirational spaces we shall present the following:
Creation of stunning mood boards per room
A detailed ‘Items Report’ – this is a listing all furniture, flooring, wall coverings, light fixtures and soft furnishings
From here on you may decide to self-manage your own project, or alternatively you could choose to commission us to take on the delivery of the design.
INSPIRATIONAL VISIT
Our Inspirational Visit is a great value way to get professional interior design advice.
Want to make some changes but not sure on palettes or layouts? Let’s spend some time looking at the room and how we can make it absolutely perfect for you.
Ann will come to your home or workplace, identify your specific interior design problems and create solutions specifically for you. We can focus on one room or do a swift run through the whole place. It is great fun and totally personal to you and your lifestyle or work style.
After the day you will receive a detailed report, outlining all the suggestions and ideas, which act as your ‘to do’ list – you can either implement yourself or ask us to follow up on using our services.
