I have undertaken to appoint Adam Sherling, a Chartered Surveyor to both oversee & monitor the removal & rebulding of an adjacent linked garage. This is currently linked to my own garage at this time. He had previously visited my location being accompanied by the designer of this proposed change of layout and use. Adam spent a consideable amount of time discussing these proposed changes with myself & my own raised concerns. He also liased with with this designer & both took the opportunity to take numerous photos when required. He has kept in contact with me on a regluar basis & I have contacted him several time via both phone & e-mail as well concerning my required clarefications. There was an issue where the builders created dampness on the neighbour's internal wall. I called Adam and he came the next day and identified the problem immediately. He also came to my house and surveyed a problem that I was concerned about (a crack in an internal wall) that was nothing to do with the party wall agreement he was overseeing. He was there for an hour and did not charge me anything even though it was not paid for in the party wall award (it would have cost around £225 otherwise)-he said he was not far away on a job so it was ok. I needed to get party wall surveyor done at very short notice and Adam executed the three surveys at very short notice. He was very communicative -even making contact out of hours as required to get the job done -and pleasant, even when one of our neighbours had initial concerns.

Great pleasure to work with Adam! Helped us tackled a super difficult situation with extremely painful neighbors.

Not only he did amazing job for ourside (good condition report, flawless legal drafting etc) he but also managed very well the counter-party surveyors and made sure their charges is within a suitable range. It’s so important to engage with someone like Adam who you know will get job done well and manage your overall surveyors costs well, especially when the other side charges you an hourly rate.

After living in our home for 35 years, our adjoining neighbours decided to sell up their 4 bedroom house to move to a bungalow. The purchaser of their home decided he wanted to extend the back of the house and add a loft extension before moving in!
