Paulo is so helpful! My toddler son smashed my phone. I can’t use the screen at all. I can’t charge the phone either! I can still answer calls via Bluetooth earphone with the remaining battery. .. I am happy to buy a new phone but I haven’t backup iCloud for 3 months. I need my message history! Paulo helped me on a Saturday and migrated everything to another iPhone. I can’t be more grateful. A kettle overflowed accidentally on my daughter's computer at Uni. The computer could not start and we needed to recover her data as she did not save on I cloud, she had no more space ! Different firms were charging between £ 100 and £ 400 and were going to keep the computer for several weeks, up to 6 weeks. With her studies at Uni it was not possible. Absolutely wonderful experience today. I came in with a MacBook that sadly had a fault with the screen, was immediately seen and greeted with warmth and friendliness, putting me at ease. Really great service. I was worried that I lost some valued data and an important piece of kit. I was able to pick up my machine at the end of the day in fully working order with my old OS in tact. I had a problem with mi MacBook Air that came up a few months ago back in Chile.
The person who "fixed" it that time took a week to get it done, and charged me a lot of money, but the problem returned while at Cambridge. I took it to Zippin Pippin, and the fix took less than 15 minutes. Paolo explained what was going wrong, and didn't even want to charge me, cause he said it was a very easy fix.

So friendly and helpful. I've seen Paulo twice now about my iMac and once about my iPhone and every time he's provided an incredible service fixing the issues.
The first issue was that my graphics card needed to be replaced which he had to send off to be replaced but this was sorted in no time at all. The next issue was that my hard drive was so close to death that I decided to get a new one put in; Paulo ran through what would be the best option for my iMac, taking into account the age of my computer and what would be the most cost effective and reliable. Once I had decided and he started the data migration to the new drive, my old drive somehow acted as though it installed a new OS over my previous one, erasing all my data. Having never backed up my work before, Paulo then spent the next 2 and a half weeks trying to recover my data from my dying drive and eventually got everything back (to my relief).
He will go above and beyond what is needed to make sure your issue is solved and will explain everything along the way in detail to keep total transparency in the work being carried out. Also, unlike some highstreet techs who usually haven't gone through the relevent training to be called 'Official Mac Technicians', Paulo makes sure to get high quality parts, so that you're not getting ripped off.
I would 100% recommend Zippin Pippin if you're based around Cambridge and have any issues with any Apple Tech, and I know I'll definitely be calling up again once my partners Macbook starts to show signs that it's on it's way out!

Took my 5.5 year old MacBook Pro with a malfunctioning start key into the Apple Store and was told that the entire top casing needed to be replaced and that there was 'evidence of water damage'.
I was advised against this given the cost and it was suggested that I buy a new computer.
I went to Zippin Pippin and within minutes he diagnosed that it was just the keyboard that needed to be replaced, finding no corrosion. He did this for a quarter of the cost that I was quoted by the Apple Store. He also gave my MacBook Pro a full clean and gave me some useful tip for speeding up its performance.
This is someone with great expertise. He seems committed to providing excellent, old-fashioned customer service, rather than the more robotic approach of the Apple Store. I'd recommend him to anyone who has a problem with an Apple product.

Called to get an iPhone replacement battery fitted. Zippin Pippin scheduled it in 30mins from calling and then fitted the new battery within 10 minutes, even though he was visibly busy!
