Great idea, really laid back, it was like living in a flat for the time I was there with strangers who you were all sharing the experience with- helping each other in the kitchen. ..? How novel is that :-) hi to the three ladies who I was briefly chatting to about almond milk ( 20/02/2015), putting it in my very strong tea. See? You don't get that with conventional places More...

It is like no other place in London (or even Europe, I did travel quite a bit, you know...), yet it's simplicity and unique identity is more than just adorable.
..
I just hope too many people won't ruin it...

Nothing but positive things to say, its a great concept, pay for the time you are there, just take a clock with you!
The reason it works so well is that it emphasises socialising and sharing.
You are welcome to play games, read, play musical instruments, and all food and drinks are free. People have very kindly donated all kinds of things, food, drink, coffee machine, guitar, tons of books. Volunteering is also encouraged, with members having set up classes as well of a variety of skills such as learning languages and book clubs.
All in all Ziferblat is unique, welcoming and encourages you to give something back.

What a delight. This is the space I have spent years looking for. It is a communal living room for our tribe; those of us intellectual and artistic types that fit nowhere else. Everyone I met was so mutually interested in the sharing of ideas and experience with a remarkable level of acceptance, honesty and enthusiasm, a quality that is rare to find these days. For once in a very long time, despite my initial apprehension at the rather radical and unusual social model, I felt genuinely amongst friends. Camaraderie in creative sharing of concepts is a commodity these days that is priceless and actively suppressed by the anti-intellectual social backdrop that surrounds us right now in Britain. To pay only a very minimal contribution towards the space on a time basis with refreshments, toys and WiFi as part of the deal is the best deal going in central London. Be ready to talk and discuss your thoughts with others when visiting, as it definitely seems a non-negotiable social structure in the space. If you're a creative sort of person who wants somewhere more stimulating and safe to work as opposed to being an awkward squatter in a coffee bar - and do so in the company of other atypical thinkers - you can do no better than Ziferblat London; and I am not given to false praise. One of my favorite places to work and socialize here. The concept is great- just pay for your time instead of worrying about whether you’ve bought enough coffees. It’s a big, comfortable communal living room with friendly staff and a nice view over Shoreditch. More...

A nice hangout spot with treats, hot drinks, board games, piano, guitar, sofas, tables, suitable for spending time with friends and family or just enjoying alone time. The staff is friendly, and get out of your way and let you get on with your business. One suggestion if the staff is reading this, if the music volume could be lower, even better, if there are multiple speakers at different parts of the room so people could adjust the music and volume for their liking locally, it would be ideal. Quirky and cosy. The first thing that strikes you is the familiar, homely vibe as if you were in some relative's front room. You pay to get in but then there's unlimited tea, coffee and edibles (biscuits etc). Makes it an ideal place for you to meet your mates if you're a student in a budget, other than the student union; or, if you need a cheap spot to work from your laptop -yes, it has tons more character than a library. Board games and books to browse. Apparently it's modelled on a Russian concept. Great stuff More...

This is home away from home where you are charged for the time rather than for the items consumed. You could stop for a quick coffee and spend pennies or spend a few hours and spend a few pounds. All the while getting a serious bang for your buck. The board games, books and video games available would certainly want you to stay here forever. Try it. Seriously. You won't regret it. More...
