Took my partner here for her birthday. So glad we decided to visit! The staff were all super friendly and welcomed us almost like old friends even though we hadn't been there before. We had beef tagine and chicken a la charmoula. Both were delicious and presented well with vegetables and potatoes. The beef also had apricots and prunes, topped with cashews. Just the right amount of spices to bring out the flavors of the protein. Every menu item looked like great options so we'll have to try more of them next time. A great place! More...

Inside the Global Market, and is a sit down restaurant with beautiful decor. Perfect for family celebrations, HH, or even a chill lunch. I always enjoy the lunch salad bar, which is superb! The atmosphere at Ziadi's is open, airy, and colorful. The presentation of the food is just as wonderful as the food itself. It is a bit hidden, so I'd ask for directions if you've never been in the Midtown Global Market before.Ziadi's surprised me when I first saw this elegant low-lit dining room and bar amidst the hustle and bustle of worldly fast foods that are typical to Midtown Global Market. Instead Ziadi's is a place to sit, relax, converse and savor the abundance of Mediterranean flavor and spices at a slower pace (my hubby chose to lounge on the traditional Moroccan guest "couches" instead.) The entree's were worth the wait and the pennies earned, with perfectly paired adult beverages. My husband had the lamb and I had the sea scallops with mushroom risotto and both dishes were prepared to perfection by the owner/chef himself. Dessert was a plated "design your own" lemon tart, with fresh fruit and orange marmalade on the painter's pallet. Making Ziadi's the perfect place to spend your calories earned after a stroll through the Minneapolis Institute of Art. I highly recommend for the quality of food and atmosphere. I 100% recommend that you check out Ziadis! We went there on Friday night, and the food and service was fantastic! This is a new place, so they don’t show up on google maps yet, but they are located in the space the rabbit hole used to be in.

I had been peeking through the window at the Ziadi’s remodel all fall (we live upstairs). It was worth the wait. My scallops were cooked perfectly.
