I had a great experience at Zezafoun , starting from the lovely atmosphere, the place is like you are home ! Wall art is amazing! We tried Fatteh which was made fresh ! The arabic/Syrian coffee was so good !You feel very welcome there.Zezafoun is a syrian cuisine that serve many dishes , adding to the Plat de Jour . Good middle eastern food. I got a chicken shawarma and an order of falafel. The chicken shawarma was decent, I felt like I was eating homemade Syrian food. That falafel was very good! I've lived in Toronto for over 20 years and I don't normally take the time to write a review. After my visit to Zezafoun, I felt compelled to write about the place, as it is now in my list of top 5 favourite restaurants in the city. The owner and her daughter run a business that is brimming with soul and authenticity. For the quality of food, I found the price to be *very* reasonable (especially, for Toronto) and the portions generous. Our food was absolutely delicious - generously curated with spices and flavours from the Middle East, yet upgraded with innovative twists (like cardamom-enriched cappuccino). Unlike the city's other well-known restaurants, Zezafoun maintains its local and personal touch while scoring high on aesthetics and tasteful interior design. The Makloubeh was awesome as a main dish :)The bad: a group of 6 is perhaps the max I would recommend for this place. The ONLY Place in whole CANADA that makes the BEST Arabic and Syrian food. Very delicious and they have an amazing verity of dishes every day . .. you MUST try the Fateh and Kebeh .. Very yummy .. and for sure the Syrian Tea :)...Every day they have a different special Syrian Dish.. I have already tried all of them and I cnt really pick which one is my Favorite .. This is a lovely, homey neighbourhood spot for delicious Syrian dishes - brunch and beyond. We went for breakfast and sat at the larger round rustic table for 4-5 (we were a group of 4). The lady serving us was really patient to walk us through the menu and dishes of the day. We ended up ordering falafel, a little mezze platter, French toast and fatteh (a chickpea stew). Everything was really homey, hearty and delicious, and reasonably priced. We were really full otherwise we would have tried some desserts stacked on the counter.
