We couldn't be happier with our entire experience with Zekar Photography. At every step of the way we felt extremely comfortable and the final product we received was full of countless amazing photos. It's impossible to pick favourites because there are just too many! Kate responds so quickly to emails, so our questions were always answered without much wait time. And Mike is so incredibly talented. In case you're worried that you'll feel/look awkward in the candid photos (we are awkward...so we worried a bit)...don't! After a lot of research going into wedding photographers, we decided to go with Zekar photography due to their candid-style photography (Im not a fan of getting my picture taken). Mike did our engagement and wedding photos and the whole experience was amazing!!!! I've never felt so at ease when getting pictures taken, and the results were better than we could have ever imagined. We cannot recommend Zekar Photography highly enough! We were lucky enough to have Mike capture all the moments at our intimate wedding just before Christmas. My husband is very shy, but Mike found something they had in common and chatted with him as they took his photos getting ready for our wedding which helped put Alan at ease. We just got some of our samples back and we are blown away! Mike was able to catch some special moments when we didn't even realize he was there which was exactly what we were hoping for in a photographer. Kate was super responsive and friendly. I searched really hard for a good photographer that did more candid/photojournalistic style and came across Zekar Photography. SO GLAD WE DID!!! Everyone is amazing here. Kate is super responsive and easy to talk to. Mike, Jordan and Sadie are some of the nicest and easy to get along with people ever and very professional. Mike did our engagement shoot and we felt so comfortable (we are normally super awkward taking pictures) they were AMAZING! Honestly 100 times better than we expected. Jordan and Sadie did our wedding and we loved them! Super fun and professional. Everyone complimented us on how they just blended in and they were super nice and how much they loved them! The second we met Mike we knew that we wanted to work with him for our wedding. We had the pleasure of having Mike as our photographer with Sadie as his assistant and Kate running the show from behind the scene. They are the most genuine and warm people you will meet. Just received our wedding photos on time and exactly when we were told we would receive them :) We are absolutely blown away ! They are 1000x time more than what we had imagined they would be :) The wedding day was such a blurr to us that being able to flip through the photos and feel like we are reliving the day and seeing details and moments that we missed is truly a blessing that we will cherish forever. Mike blended in so well during the day of the wedding that he almost felt like we were life long friends, he even helped at some points during the day with certain things ! I really could not thank him enough for not only being a part of our wedding day but capturing all the moments and memories that he did. Kate as well was an amazing part in this all :) She always responded as soon as possible to my 100 of questions and always assisted in every way that she could, I loved how in even just speaking through email with her that she would know exactly who we were and always commented on how sweet our family was and brought personal notes into each email. My wife and I had Zekar do our wedding and engagement photos. We were 100% happy with the photos. Everyone involved with photos was happy to chat and work with Mike. There are photos that look too perfect to be real, and due to creative lighting and positioning, more than a few photos are literally better than what was going on with our own eyes. Can't say enough! We just received our photos (on the exact week we were told to expect them). Let's just say we're speechless! Exactly what we envisioned. I feel as though I'm watching a movie as I flip through. Mike and Jordan did not miss a single moment...To be honest the day of the wedding they blended in as though they were guests/life long friends. There were no flashes or noises distracting us and they never once got in the way and never showed an ounce of frustration while rounding our large somewhat tipsy wedding party!! Kate has been amazing, especially with her timely responses to email! We inquired about Zekar after a friends recommendation but it was their blog that sold me! We have gone through all the wedding photos and we absolutely love how they came out. Mike and Kate were wonderful to work with from our first communication with them and throughout the entire process.
