My family and I went to Zama's to celebrate my grandaughter's birthday new year's eve. I don't eat Mexican food often but this food is sooo good. We tasted each other's food and everything was great. We were absolutely blown away. i cant remember the last time I enjoyed my server(Maria), drink, appetizer, and entree. When the manager, Armando, brought us a dessert and thanked us for coming in, the deal was sealed and I had to write a review. We will drive from Canton, 20 miles away, to come back. I was here over the weekend. The food was good & the drinks were even better. The man at the door. Who seated me wasn’t so friendly. He did smile, he act as if he didn’t want to be there. Tried Zama recently for the first time, and it was a totally amazing! They had a ton of really good food, and the waiting staff was super cool. I don't usually order appetizers, but they had a popcorn shrimp on their appetizer list that just looked too good to pass up. And it was. I loved it so much. The only thing I am sad about, is I didn't get to try the amazing looking alcohol they had on their menu. Guess I will have to go back! If you like Mexican food, give Zama a shot, it is quality! If you need a regular fix of Mexican food, count on this place, as most Mexican restaurants in Atlanta are not very good.Not all dishes are great, but at least good.Most of the servers are very good.

How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
The new Zama catering menu was designed to make entertaining easy. We offer inclusive buffet hot bars that include chips, salsa and sides. We have 20+ party platter and hors d'oeuvres that can upgrade a hot bar or work perfectly for casual cocktail parties. Our express menu works perfectly for the DIY party planner. If you need a little more guidance, our Catering director can assist with large events and custom menus.
What do you love most about your job?
After 20+ years in the industry, I still I love the guests reaction when they walk into a really good party! I am a people pleaser so "wowing" the guests and my clients with good food and service is always my goal!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Partnering with Zama gave me the opportunity to create a catering division from the ground up. Zama has an outstanding reputation in the community for upscale Latin food and hospitality. My experience brought the catering & event side to the business with a southern hospitality flare. The match has been hugely successful in launching an upscale Latin catering brand not like anything else in the city.
