Do you have goals?


This is fundamental. You need to be utterly clear on this before embarking on this journey (whether with us or anyone else). If you don’t know where you’re going you’ll have no idea you’ve arrived. If and when you get there! If you don’t have clear goals, or you’re not prepared to work with us to define them, then this simply will not work


Are you passionate?


A number of key elements need to come together to have a successful online presence (i.e. not just having a great looking website). One of the most key is building an online audience. It is hard work and takes time. Passion is what will drive you through any obstacles. Giving up is not a phrase we recognise. If you’re not passionate about what you do and what you want, please step aside and watch the rest of us achieve greatness.


Do you have a budget?


We are serious about your success. Are you? Excellence in this space requires investment. It's really that simple. You don’t need to invest your life savings or re-mortgage your house, but you will need to treat this as an investment - and if you do everything we tell you, then you will get a positive return.


Do you have an audience?


To have your website work for you it needs an audience. This is generally done through one or more of these: blogging, podcasting, interviews, white papers, presentations, speaking and education etc. There is no magic bullet (regardless of what others may try to tell you). It truly is the only way to generate new customers online. So, if you don’t already have an audience, you should be prepared to build one.


Do you have a team?


We don’t enjoy watching our clients spiral in a free-fall, so if you don’t have a team (or you’re not prepared to pull one together) you’ll have a big job convincing us to take your project on. It could be as simple as a virtual assistant to help out a few hours a week or a fully-fledged content production team, either way, you’re going to need help.


Do you have the time?


If we work together, we will expect proper time commitment from you. This really is key. Assuming we get to the point that we have a proposal you have agreed to, it will include dates by when we will deliver certain elements. We are committed to meeting those timescales... but many of those elements will be contingent on input from you before we can deliver them (content, feedback, sign-off etc). So understanding your commitment here is critical.
