I began planning my wedding in Portland only a year after moving there, and I was at a complete loss for where to begin. Your Perfect Bridesmaid, and specifically Katelyn Evans, helped make my day everything I could have imagined and more. Without Katelyn, I wouldn't have found the right venue, the right florist, the right makeup artist and have them all booked within budget. On our wedding night, she even drove my husband and I back to our hotel with all of our gifts, and ensured the leftovers made it to our room. We really enjoyed working with Ashley to plan our big day. She is patient and detail-oriented, responded quickly to questions we had throughout the planning process, and most importantly made our wedding day stress-free. We had our wedding and reception at different venues and she expertly handled the logistics of decoration and clean-up at both locations. She stuck with us until the very end of the night helping load gifts and decorations into our vehicle (when we were both exhausted). Hiring Rachael Meader from Your Perfect Bridesmaid was the best thing we did when planning our son's wedding. Working on short notice, we found Rachael who helped us organize and plan everything we needed to make the day memorable and perfect. Rachael kept us organized, on schedule, and free of stress as the event grew near. The day of the wedding, she took control of questions, directed vendors, helped with decorations, cued music, corralled guests, kept wedding events on time and if that wasn't enough, at the end of the night loaded up the our car with personal belongings and items. Using a wedding planner is worth every penny - for the expertise and knowledge and for the ability to relax and enjoy the day while someone else takes care of stressful stuff. I cannot begin to fully explain how great it was to have Kim help us with our wedding planning. From our first phone call, it was obvious how helpful having Kim and YPB would be in the process of planning our wedding. Their knowledge of venues and vendors were so helpful in making sure we got high quality service that we could depend on for every aspect of our wedding. Kim took the time to understand our envisions for our wedding and was able to tailor vendors to fit with our budget, location, and aesthetic wishes. Knowing that the vendors we chose were ones that Kim and YPB have worked with before gave us an ease of mind to know that their services were legit and we could count on them.

I also cannot stress how amazing it was to have Kim and Rachael there for day-of coordination. Knowing that our families didn't have to bare any of the stress that often comes with setting up decorations and coordinating vendors was worth its weight in gold. Knowing that we had two great professionals coordinating set up and the event allowed us and our families to enjoy our wedding day! It was honestly one of the best decisions we made to hire them and have them help us for our special day!

Katelyn was amazing through out the whole process. You can tell YPB strives to give it their all no matter what. Not only did Katelyn work hard to help put together the wedding of our dreams, but my husband and I could sense her genuine heart and she truly wanted us to enjoy the whole process and we believe YPB went above and beyond in their service. We used Your Perfect Bridesmaid for our wedding in Sept 2019. Kim was by our side throughout the entire wedding process. I can't say enough about how she went above her job and went far beyond the package that we chose. Kim's ability to make sense of our chaotic vision and turn it into a reality was amazing to see happen. She was always available WHENEVER I needed her and made the entire process less stressful. This review truly can't describe how thankful we are to Kim and her team. She helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives. When my husband forgot deodorant the day of the wedding, she gave him her own without a thought. YPB also has a great team of local vendors but I never felt that we were pushed to work with anyone; Kim was supportive and I always felt like she had our best interests in mind. We had an AMAZING experience with Your Perfect Bridesmaid as a company, and specifically with Katelyn, as our lead coordinator. Katelyn was simply incredible, and I'm not sure how we would have planned a wedding without her. Firstly, she is professional. We were hesitant at first to hire a day of planner. However, as the wedding got larger, we saw the potential value of a planner to make the day more freeing for us. YPB was not our first choice, but in retrospect it should have been. Initially, we thought an "independent" planner could be more personable. However, Erika was very personable. More importantly she was experienced which means two very important things: 1. YPB is extremely organized. Erika was systematic in how she met with us, recorded information and communicated back to us and our vendors. They clearly have a well- dialed system for this 2. YPB had experience with the venue. While a very smart person could have figured things out on the fly, so much of wedding planning requires decisions that are venue and wedding specific--a wedding planner that has been there before makes a huge difference. We were able to trust Erika's judgement on many of the decisions related to our wedding. I cannot recommend Your Perfect Bridesmaid enough. It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We had Ashley as our wedding planner, and Rachel as our back up day-of coordinator. Through the planning process, Ashley was incredibly helpful. She provided us with a variety of vendor ideas and gave us honest opinions regarding those vendors. We would never have found those vendors without her help. She gave us guidance on how to reach out and what questions we should ask those vendors. She also was in contact with our vendors behind the scenes to work out any kinks with them. Ashley was responsive to our emails and was great about answering any of our hundreds of questions. When our wedding day arrived, we were so calm knowing that Ashley was helping us! We had one major vendor issue during the wedding – our shuttle bus didn’t show up, so some of our guests were late and we had to start the wedding a bit late. Ashley was great about making sure my husband and I were calm and I knew she could take care of it. At the end of the night, Ashley and Rachel went above and beyond our expectations. They personally drove some of our guests home since we didn’t have a shuttle bus (and our venue had no cell reception). She even had one of her friends who had a small shuttle take some of our guest’s home. They stayed much later than they were planning on and they still acted so kind and professional to everyone. I literally had my dream wedding this July and that was largely due to the fact that Kim and Katelyn at Your Perfect Bridesmaid are SO GOOD AT THEIR JOBS. I've been a wedding photographer for 10 years and I've worked with these two as a vendor before, but THIS TIME I got to be the bride! Our wedding was logistically challenging, far away, and at a brand new venue, but YPB helped with every step of the process and kept my now-husband and I sane through everything. I ended up recommending them to my little sister AND my bff who got married a month later too. I will sing YBP praises til the end of time because they are such kind-hearted people with amazing talents. They are SO dedicated and work SO hard behind the scenes to make everything go flawlessly. This was absolutely the best investment we made in our wedding! YPB was professional, personable, responsive, and truly indispensable to us. We had a small backyard wedding which seemed manageable at first but soon we became overwhelmed with details. As soon as we hired Kim and her team they went to work for us. Our lead coordinator Nicole was the best! Any time I had a question or needed a referral she was on it and advocating for us with every vendor and or service we contracted. When we could not find a baker Kim personally called someone who was "booked" for six weddings on our wedding weekend and suddenly they were available! We didn't have a florist and Nicole referred me to the best florist I could have ever hoped or dreamed we could hire! Because of Nicole we were able to actually enjoy our wedding day and everything was taken care of and went smoothly. Just had our wedding at Skamania Lodge over the past weekend and words can't express what an amazing celebration it was. Katelyn and Kim did such an amazing job not only coordinating, helping and directing all of the vendors, guest, and wedding party; but they were highly professional and personable as well.IT WAS ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!!!Being out of the loop for the most part, I had no idea how freaking awesome our wedding was going to be and Your Perfect Bridesmaid really helped exceed my expectations. YPB was the best decision we made for our wedding. We used their standard package and it was well worth the money. Katelyn was our lead and she was efficient, responsive, and has good taste. The planning meetings were organized and Katelyn asked good questions to clarify what we wanted for the wedding. And after each meeting we felt like we had a list of realistic and achievable tasks. She came with us to pick out rentals. She was easily reachable via email. She helped us navigate negotiating with other vendors to get the best price possible.The best part was that week leading up to the wedding and the day of everything was a well-oiled machine. My family and I did not need to worry about the small details of the wedding knowing that Katelyn had everything taken care of. I really cannot emphasize enough how incredibly invaluable our planner, Ashley, was to our entire wedding planning/day-of experience.

One piece of advice I received from countless brides throughout our engagement was to hire a planner. Everyone insisted a planner would not only make the planning go more smoothly, but also ensure I was able to enjoy my wedding day so much more. As a professional corporate event planner, I was prepared to take on all wedding planner duties myself. I love the planning process and generally know what to expect as far as timelines, vendor agreements, costs and day-of activities. However, as the wedding day drew closer, the logic behind my friends' advice became more and more clear. While I had most of the details securely in order, I was still lacking a point person to make sure everything was executed according to plan. I needed a day-of manager who would take on all the responsibilities and attention to detail I knew I would not be physically capable of handling the day of the ceremony and reception.

That's where Your Perfect Bridesmaid came in. I reached out to the team at YPB about three weeks before our big day. Their owner Kim and I chatted about what I had already accomplished, what my vision was and where I was feeling the most anxiety. We agreed that their "Sanity Saver" package was right for us, and everything quickly took off from there! I was immediately connected with my planner, Ashley, and from that day forward, Ashley and I didn't go a single day without connecting. Taking what I had already put together, she compiled a detailed "run of show" plan. She asked all the right questions, added to what I had in the works, and pointed out many details I had not even considered. She was in contact with all of my vendors to ensure everyone was up-to-speed and always made time to check in with me to make sure I was feeling okay and enjoying this special time in my life.

I cannot express how relieved I was before and especially the day of the wedding to have Ashley on my side. She works with confidence in her abilities, and does it all with a smile on her face. All of my details were put into play thanks to her, and the day was absolutely beautiful! Most importantly, my now-husband and I were able to actually enjoy our wedding because of her!

From start to finish, YPB was there for me and my husband. We are still talking about how grateful we are that we made the last-minute decision to hire a day-of planner/manager. Of all the money we spent on our wedding, hiring Ashley through YPB was by far one of the costs we have no regrets about. Trust me - a planner/manager is worth every penny! I am so relieved I took my friends' advice, and I will continue to spread that advice to my future bride friends. If you're looking for any level of wedding planning/management support, I cannot recommend YPB enough!

All of my details were put into play thanks to her, and the day was absolutely beautiful! Most importantly, my now-husband and I were able to actually enjoy our wedding because of her! From start to finish, YPB was there for me and my husband. We are still talking about how grateful we are that we made the last-minute decision to hire a day-of planner/manager. Of all the money we spent on our wedding, hiring Ashley through YPB was by far one of the costs we have no regrets about. Trust me - a planner/manager is worth every penny! YBP is an amazing team that made our big day stress free and fun. They effortlessly worked with our crazy schedules, making sure everything was in order before my fiance left town for the two months before the wedding (not returning until two days before the wedding).  Ashley and Nicole took the time to really understand us and what we were looking for in terms of the overall feel for the day, design factors, and specific vendors. They advocated for us with trouble vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly day of. We are forever grateful to Ashley, Nicole, and Kim for making our big day so special. I called numerous wedding coordinators and spoke to the owners on the phone before I picked YPB. Kim is a magnificent owner and person, she is very down to earth and has a treasure chest full of knowledge.
Our lead coordinator was Ashley she learned our personalities quickly and helped us pick things that we never dreamed of having to choose. We valued their professional opinions and transparency when it came to pricing/ discounts with vendors. We had a really hard time with a local catering company that could have derailed our wedding day. Ashley and Kim worked tirelessly to fix the problem with the caterers in the most inventive and cost effective way.

We are a same sex female couple of color and no one batted an eye. These ladies treated us like family and turned my design vision into a reality without pushing the budget. If you are on the fence about choosing YPB do it! We did the 75% planning which worked so well for us, because we didn’t mind doing some leg work we just needed guidance and homework. These ladies are wonderful genuine people who love what they do.

For our outdoor wedding in to gorge between Oregon/Washington: If you're thinking of hiring a wedding coordinator... DO IT. We were lucky enough for Kim to set us up with Ashley.. who is absolutely FANTASTIC. From start to finish she was always there with answers and solutions. She is professional, fun, committed and you can tell she truly loves what she does and treats you that way. She also keeps extremely good relationships with other vendors and and can help make great recommendations and suggestions to help make your day into exactly what you're looking for- and was so flexible with any changes! She's there for YOU. She made our wedding day completely seamless for myself (and my mom!) and we didn't have to worry about one thing besides having the best time. I could go on endlessly about the absolutely incredible experience I had with YPB for my June 1 Castaway Portland wedding, but I am going to try my best to stick with what you need to know. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Katelyn and her assistant Tammy. If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator or wedding planner I urge you to do so. I was able to enjoy my day as a bride because I knew that Katelyn and her team had everything covered. If something went wrong, I have no knowledge of it. As a bride, you put in lots of planning and stress you really owe it to yourself to be able to enjoy this memorable experience. Katelyn was a recourse and advocate for me through the whole process. She is knowledgeable about the industry and about weddings in general. You may think that you can save money by doing certain things, but YPB really knows how to help you plan for things you don’t expect which helps you to achieve the wedding you want that sticks to your budget. I spoke with several different planners and coordinators and was disappointed that like many areas in the wedding business, I was being ripped off. This was not the case with YPB. They are personable, professional, kind, honest, humble and above all truly passionate about their work. I am sad to no longer be working with them, but so thankful they helped bring me my happily ever after. I highly recommend YPB. Honestly would not have been able to have my dream wedding without Racheal and Kim. On the wedding day Racheal went above and beyond picking up our ice cream sandwiches, cutting the cake, she was amazing. I didn’t have to worry about anything. Kim, the owner of “Your Perfect Bridesmaid” was the wedding coordinator for my wedding at Timberline Lodge (Silcox Hut). From the first email she was quick to respond, professional, personable, and organized. She was in constant contact and willing to help with anything the year leading up to my wedding. My meetings with her were organized and efficient and her “little pink book” vendor recommendations were great! My wedding vision became reality when she decorated my venue. She took care of everything the day of so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Kim and her wonderful assistant cleaned and packed up everything after the reception and even dropped off the decor to my room before I arrived so that no one had to worry about it that evening! The best decision I made during wedding planning was hiring Your Perfect Bridesmaid. Katelyn was a true life saver. She played every role we needed her to play, always going above and beyond our expectations. There was no question or tricky family situation that she couldn't help with. Planning a wedding from across the country was no joke, but Katelyn was there every step of the way and advocating on our behalf. YPB was recommended by Timberline Lodge. We spoke with a few other wedding planners and there was really no doubt YPB was the choice for us. I tend to lean towards saving money, but after we spoke with Kim and Aurelia, I knew their services would be WELL worth it! We met with them and communicated FREQUENTLY prior to the wedding day. They served not only as a fantastic resource for other vendors(saving us 10% on rental decorations), but also an unbiased opinion for decisions and advice on many things. The day of went PERFECT. I recommend YPB to ANYONE planning a wedding. They were such a dream to work with. Kim is so passionate and it definitely shows. She has built an amazing company and helped us feel so ready for our day.

We were paired with Ashley Blazinski for our day of lead. She was truly amazing, everything went better than I could have expected. It was like she was in 5 places at once, I am not sure how she did it. She even delivered our leftover food and cupcakes to our hotel after our wedding - who does that!? She is absolutely pleasant to work with, has such a positive presence, a constant smile on her face, and truly loves what she does. We feel so blessed and lucky to have been paired with her.
