We have used Patch to host a number of networking events for our group The Village. We have hired the large room and the open area on the ground floor. .. Our events have always gone incredibly well, the team at Patch have been fantastic and really accommodating. Ignite Chelmsford have been hosting our monthly members’ socials at Patch for just over a year now. We work really closely with the Patch team – who are always super friendly and available, and regularly help us work out logistics for how we might want to run an event. The space looks very smart and professional, while at the same time being modern, fun and welcoming. The range of rooms available – a bar room with seating and tables, a lobby with a reception desk and space to socialise, and the Academy which has seating and presentation equipment, works perfectly for our events. I've been a member of Patch since it opened and I can confidently say that it's the best coworking space in Chelmsford. The space is a clean, modern and inspiring environment but it's the team that really make working here such a great experience: Freddie, Naomi, Varun and Elle are all wonderful and really care about every member, and not just at the point that you sign up. I have been struggling to find a solution to my working setup in this post-pandemic world. Remote working at home has lost its focus (my children are at home) and traveling into work in London is a lengthy ordeal now, costs me money I am used to saving and when you turn up you sit on Zoom all day. I could put my finger on what I needed to genuinely solve my hybrid working situation. Introducing Patch! As if by magic, my working situation is solved overnight. Patch is a co-working space that has all the beauty and function of an office, with original intention of focus that remote working used to provide. I am 5 minutes from home (Chelmsford) but get many of the benefits of an office environment. This is the solution to my problems and genuinely the future of hybrid working in my opinion. I am using the Associate plan, which is a monthly plan that approximates to me being in Patch around 8 days a week. You can manage you time allocated though and that's effective through the check in and checkout features on the companion app (which is quite cool in itself). The office is cool, plenty of seating and desk space, kitchen with coffee (and often treats too), bookable meeting rooms. Of course, if you choose different plans, you can have dedicate desks, monitors and even small office spaces. Over the last 6 months, it's gone from a few people here and there to a vibrant office space with friendly people who are creating a self sustainable community centred around the common cause of hybrid work spaces. I have been working at Patch Chelmsford for 6 months now and it gets a full-on rave review from me. Firstly the space is great. In a restored brewery in the heart of the city centre, it’s genuinely a nice place to be. There’s a really friendly and collaborative vibe from the other members that reminds you why working in an office can be genuinely good fun and supportive. The coffee is great and the team that runs the place are friendly, helpful and often provide treats - what’s not to like? Best of all, I can walk or cycle to work and that is a real treat. What effect has Patch had on my business? It’s certainly given me a new sense of purpose and focus. It’s lead to new collaborations and new connections. And most of all, it’s opened me up to the possibilities of the world of work after a tough few years. Highly recommend you come and look round to see for yourself. More...

I've been a member at Patch since they opened at the end of last year and it has honestly changed the way I work for the better. I wasn't sure what to expect from a dedicated co-working space, as I've only ever worked from cafes (or at home) when not actually in the office, but the space is beautiful - so inspirational and set up for work in so many different ways. I’ve been a member of Patch for the last two months and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The team are absolutely lovely, come up with great events and have set up a brilliant place you want to go and work at. The interior space is welcoming and comfortable, with great facilities such as phone booths and meeting rooms.
