About

As an experienced Career Coach, I work with individuals from diverse social backgrounds to enable them to make often difficult career transitions. Many of my clients don't know what career they want to move into when they first begin their coaching with me but, at the end of the process, they have either moved into a career they find fulfilling or have a firm plan in place about how to move into a new career in the future.

Stacy was referred to me by a mutual connection in Boise. I worked with Stacy from a distance, and even though I was not able to meet with her in person, I felt our time talking was very beneficial. She has helped me focus my job search, and gave me incredible insights on networking remotely. I am seeing results from her recommendations and without her knowledge I would likely be doing the same actions I did in the past, which were ineffective. If you're wanting to make a change in your life and don't know where to start, or if you need help in making a career change, I can't recommend Stacy enough! She took time to ask questions, listen to where I wanted to see my life go, and then customized our meeting time around actions that would get me results.Thank you Stacy for all your help! More...

Working with Stacy helped me to define what I was hoping for from a career.  I was always trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, but working with Stacy helped me understand that, deep down, I always knew what I wanted to do. I simply didn't have the confidence in that choice and the conviction to pursue my dreams until I was sure!  And that's what I got out of my coaching sessions.  I came to Stacy looking for a concrete career path, a 9 to 5.  But I can honestly say I discovered much more.  Stacy is generous, kind and her method was very effective for me. I would recommend her as a career coach to anyone looking for supportive guidance and clarity of PURPOSE. More...

Stacy is a blessing. I found her via a google search and I'm so thankful it led me to working with her. Stacy's guidance, through what I thought would be an overwhelming task of finding something I wanted to do, turned into an incredible journey. In our sessions together and the homework she gave me, I discovered what I wanted to do for a career. I had been struggling with this for a few years and Stacy's coaching brought me a profound sense of clarity. Before I even started as one of Stacy's clients, she suggested a job fair for me to attend. This showed me she was invested in my best outcome, even if it meant getting a job and not needing her help. I'm so thankful that job fair didn't work out. Once I started as her client, I learned that she's well connected and respected. Recently when talking with a now retired Boise-area HR professional, I shared that I worked with a career coach over the summer. This HR professional asked me if it was Stacy. When I said yes, she told me I worked with the best. Which I already knew, but I didn't realize how many others knew this too!I couldn't imagine a better career coach than Stacy. In addition to be certified from the International Coaching Federation, she is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, has an MBA, plus vast experience as an HR professional. She knows what recruiters and hiring decision makers are looking for, and she'll coach you on how to best position yourself for getting an interview and beyond for a job *you* want. My only regret is that I didn't seek the help of a career coach sooner and meet Stacy earlier. If you're reading this review, do yourself a favor and reach out to her. Doing so was life changing for me. More...

I'm pretty sure no one EVER plans to hire a career coach because we're all SUPPOSED to know exactly what we should be doing ALL the time, right?  And God forbid we should seek help in finding a job, right?  I'm college educated, bright and accomplished.  Why would I need to hire a career coach?  The short answer is that the employment landscape has changed dramatically and the methods that I used in navigating professional opportunities are, in a word, outdated.  Stacy Harshman was instrumental in helping me zero in on my best and most unique talents - and then providing the structure necessary to focus my efforts in the right career fields.  Stacy has a long history in Human Resources - and it shows.  She also has a keen understanding of social media - and how to use it to your advantage.  Lastly, I want to say that I'm writing this 5-star review for Stacy because she's passionate about what she does and truly cares about the happiness and success of her clients.  I would not hesitate for a millisecond in recommending her services to anyone! Q&As

I love seeing people discover what they are passionate about doing and then translating to a career that allows them to express what they love to do best.

I read an article about coaching but didn't know what it really was. I decided that I needed to make a change in my career as a recruiter so I hired my own coach. When I went through the process, I fell in love with how it worked. I knew that I too wanted to be a coach, specifically a career coach, because my passion is to help people find jobs that are fulfilling.

With me as your guide, we will:
-Discover what work awakens that I-can't-believe-they're-paying-me-to-do-what-I-love feeling.
-Determine what industry will be most meaningful in realizing your vision.
-Identify the things that matter most in your life and learn how to incorporate them into your ideal career.

My 10 year experience in recruiting forms the base of my career coaching. As a recruiter for a large Fortune 500 corporation, and a major non-profit organization, I bring a deep understanding of what companies are looking for in resumes, interview answers, and follow-up.

I have worked with clients for over 10 years and have helped many individuals transition into work they love, whether it is starting their own business, beginning a new career, or re-designing their current positions to be in more alignment with their passions.

Prior to coaching, I was a corporate recruiter for a Fortune 500 company, and also a large non-profit. I hold a master’s degree in Management from Colorado State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University. I have been certified as a Career Management Coach (CCMC) since 2008. I am also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR & SCP), a Job Search Strategist, and as an Emotional Intelligence (EQi-2.0) practitioner.
