We only had one day in Napa for touring the wineries but Larry did a great job in making that day very special.  He arranged all tours and private tastings and we could not have had a better day.  We learned more about growing grapes and wine making than we could have asked for.  Keith was our driver and he took very good care of us.  He too was very informative, since he has lived in the area for along time.  We highly recommend Larry for your winery experience. Melinda took us out for two days of winery visits.  She was interesting, kind and accommodating.   Immediately, we felt like she was a friend we had known for awhile instead of our tour guide. Larry is by the far the best reason to visit Napa! We like to call him the unofficial mayor of Napa. Not only does he take care of every detail of your day, he makes sure you stay on schedule, are well take care of (bottle of water after each winery as he opens your door! ), walks you in and out of every stop and is just overall the best guy. I've used Larry for girls trips, romantic day trips with my husband, birthdays with my parents and just yesterday for a bachelorette party. His Escalade rolled just right, his XM radio choices were spot on and it's pretty obvious he's taken a photography course or two as all of our pictures were amazing. Says the bride, "I've never seen brighter greens in my pictures!" His posing skills were excellent not to mention the patience of a saint handling 7 ladies who'd been drinking all day. Larry did a great job planning my family's trip. It was the perfect experience for my family, who had never been to Napa before. On the day of our tastings, Keith was our driver, and my family had a great time with him. He was extremely knowledgeable of Napa and accommodated us in any way possible. He even took care of mailing our wine purchases back home for us which was great! After finishing the day, I am definitely regretting not spending 2 days in Napa with Keith and will definitely use Larry & Keith again for my next Napa trip. More...

I was hesitant to write this review because I don't want Larry to be reserved for when we come back! Six of us recently took a girls trip to Napa Valley, and we hired Larry based on good reviews. Larry was the highlight of our trip! He planned two full days for us and made all of the reservations, including lunches. He even took us to an extra vineyard one day because we weren't ready to go home. He was the BEST! You could tell that every wine maker knew and respected him, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better time. All of the vineyards he chose were perfect for us. He provided plenty of water throughout the trip (we definitely need it!), and he even helped us pack up all our wine purchases on the last day to send home. This was our first trip to Napa, and we plan to go back annually. We will 100% use Larry every year from now on! More...

We recently travelled to Napa Valley for our 25th wedding anniversary. I had hired Larry to provide us with a personal wine tour for the day. What Larry Lutrell did for us was make our trip a once in a life time event. From reserving dinner reservations for us for 3 nights to the spectacular experience he provided us. Larry personalized everything to our specific likes from food to wine. The lovely people he introduced us to, went out of their way to make us feel special. EVERY person wished us a happy anniversary. If I could give Larry 20 stars I would. My boyfriend recently took me on a birthday trip to Sonoma/Napa to celebrate.  We used the Car Service/Wine Tour services of Larry Luttrell and one of his driver's Melinda.  Day one Larry took us to Sonoma Valley where we experienced three different and unique wineries.  Larry is exceptional in his taste and choice of places to take his clientele.  This is the second time we have used his services.  We found that when we left the trip planning to Larry and his team's capable hands we had the best experiences.  As always, Larry did not disappoint.  Day two we met Melinda, one of Larry's drivers.  Melinda was exceptional.  This was the day of my birthday and we had some amendments to the plan.  She never batted an eyelash and made the day special by adding in a trip to get some bubbles in free time she helped create and afforded us a trip to a winery that wasn't even on the itinerary.  Melinda was absolutely wonderful.  Larry is well known and beloved around Napa and it seemed everywhere we went they knew Larry and his team.  We cannot recommend Larry more.  Each time we learn of someone going to the Napa we make sure they have Larry's information.  We will certainly be using his services again the next time we are in the area. Our day with Larry in Napa was the highlight of our trip! He planned the entire day for our group based on our likes/dislikes, level of knowledge, and the type of experience we wanted at the vineyards. He is a long-time Napa resident and wine expert and his insight and commentary as we traveled between vineyards was an added bonus. I highly recommend seeing Napa this way. Larry was great! I have had some bad experiences with wine tasting limos in the past (showing up late, getting lost, getting us late from winery to winery, etc. ) but from the very beginning Larry was professional and accommodating to our group of 23. Unlike these large corporate limo companies, you can tell Larry cares about his customers and wants each and every one to have an amazing experience. With corporate drivers, it is just another day at the office, but for the person renting the limo, its a special day... Larry shares that sentiment. Larry arrived on time and made our transition from winery to winery seamless! He even checked us in upon arrival so I could continue to socialize with the group.I can not stress enough how much we enjoyed and appreciated Larry's relaxed and fun-loving attitude towards our slightly over zealous group of 23. It was a 50th birthday party after all and we were having a great time! I can not recommend his services enough- professional but not stuck up, helpful without being controlling, fun and engaging without intruding. Larry "gets it"!! We just got back and had a wonderful time with our tour created by Larry and guided by Melinda! As soon as I contacted Larry he wrote back write away and began planning our day. At first I thought maybe we should do some big wineries mixed in with the small hand-picked places Larry wanted us to see. He convinced me to let him pick the wineries and go to the "big boys" like Mondavi and Beringer on other days. I'm SO glad we did it this way!! We got to go and see some truly amazing wineries we would never have seen otherwise. At all of the wineries we had private tours and tasting for our group of 6 (three couples) which even included tasting 15-year-old balsamic vinegar in the making! Although Larry himself wasn't our guide he showed up at the last winery to say "hi" and even bought us a bottle of wine to celebrate our engagement. Our guide Melinda was great, she's been living in the area for 20 years so she knows her stuff. Overall we had an absolutely amazing time and would do it again in a heart-beat. More...

10 Stars if I could. Larry and our tour were great, plain and simple. I worked with him to coordinate a bachelorette wine tour and it was everything and more (much more) than we imagined. The private tastings were absolutely amazing and each winery we visited (Fontanella, O'Brien, Arroyo, and Saintsbury) deserve their own 5 star reviews. It was seriously like we were set in a movie for the day - perfect scenery, first class service, delicious wine, relaxing private tables and lounge chairs, informative staff and Larry behind all of it making sure we were on schedule and enjoying ourselves.I don't think a yelp review can do it justice - I can't even express my sincerity in recommending his tour. Couldn't have been happier having Larry as our guide. We were two couples that have done Napa the hard way-tasting at the usual wineries with the masses getting crowded at the end of the bar. Now we know how to do it the right way, small family owned wineries with tours by the wine makers themselves. We entrusted our itinerary to Larry and he planned our fabulous four stops with a delicious deli lunch. He even looked after our best interests by supplying plenty of water between stops.Our favorite stop was at Terraces where we were driven through the vineyard in the "mule", a beefy golf cart, and treated to a balsamic vinegar tasting that was unforgettable. The wine was excellent and at the end of it all we had to ship a case home (this is a very reasonable option at $30 from our hotel so don't be afraid to collect a few!)Without his connections and friendly relationships with the wineries we would not have had such a personal and up close experience. Larry is amazing. Five girlfriends and I booked him for two days of wine touring several weeks ago, only knowing that he had wonderful reviews on yelp. We had no idea he would essentially MAKE our trip.When we met Larry on the first morning, he introduced himself, saying that he would be our timekeeper and our voice of reason. Perhaps our wine spirit guide as well, although I'm not sure if he actually said that part or if we immediately knew it.We worked with Larry in advance of our trip to come up with an agenda for each day. That alone seemed invaluable to us, not having ever been to Napa before and surely not knowing what's best. Together, we came up with a mix of his recommendations, ones that we heard were good/notable, and others that we just had deals for. Keep that in mind for the next part:Day 1 we tried to follow the agreed-upon schedule as much as possible. It was clear that all of Larry's winery recommendations were our favorites - they were extremely personal and unique... quite unlike the ones we had suggested based on what we had heard or read. Boy, were we wrong. We were actually bored with our own suggestions on Day 1, so we essentially threw out our proposed agenda for Day 2 and told Larry to take us where he wanted. We trusted him, and rightfully so. One of the most unique experiences was at the Terraces at Quarry Vineyards (which will eventually get it's own Yelp review and not just a shout-out). The girls and I were able to ride around the grounds in a "Mule" (tractor) and taste 14-year-old balsamic before we even got to the tasting room. How cool is that? We would have never even known about it if not for Larry.On top of his great recommendations, Larry really looked out for us. He kept his SUV trunk stocked with water bottles in coolers and made sure we stayed hydrated throughout all the loads of wine tasting. Larry modestly calls himself "your driver." As we found out ourselves, he is much, much more than that, but the name he chose for himself demonstrates his gentle and accommodating demeanor, which I liked right off the bat. This combined with his great reviews and his website promising to take us "off the beaten path" led me to him. My girlfriend and I were not disappointed.Our engagement began before we ever arrived in Northern California. He had several questions about our wine knowledge, from what kinds we liked and how often we drank, if we were just looking or planning on buying wine, to whether we had a wine cooler or cellar. Funny, he didn't ask me about screw tops.  :-)  By the time we arrived in Northern California, he crafted two days of touring through the Wine Country for us. He picked us up at our B&B in his spotless Escalade. The first day we traveled through Sonoma County, hitting Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valley wineries. It seemed he knew everyone and everyone knew him. Larry likes his wine, seems to have a nice collection, is quite knowledgeable, and is fun to talk to. He took good care of us, making sure we stayed hydrated. I guess he did a good job, because after visiting five wineries, we had more wine at dinner!The next day we traveled through Napa. We didn't think it could get better, but it did. The visits got more intimate and more informative. We enjoyed barrel tasting, were sampling wines before and after blending, were driven out into the vineyards on their little go-cart, tasted an owner's private 16 year old balsamic vinegar straight from the barrels, and had a lovely lunch at the most beautiful location. We even talked about iPhone apps and we each downloaded the other's recommendations.I highly recommend Larry. This was our first time wine tasting, and he kindly held our hand through the process until we got our sea legs. It was an intimate trip for us, and Larry was the perfect host. He knows the Wine Country, the wineries, and the owners. Larry was absolutely amazing on our recent wine tour in Heidelberg-- he took us to some super unique and gorgeous wineries that were off the beaten path.  He was also so nice and accommodating to all of us.  He brought a bunch of waters in his car for us and a cooler to hold all of our wine purchases which was great.  His car was spotless, roomy and really comfortable. If you want to go wine tasting, you can probably use anyone in the area. If you want a wine EXPERIENCE - go with Larry.  I had spoken with Larry and liked that not only was he the person that responded to my request, he also organized the day and was also our driver.  I gave him a list of wineries that we were considering and his response of "If you want to go to those places, we can do that.  But if you want a more intimate experience, here is what I suggest."  I recognized he had a lot of knowledge of the napa valley and trusted his recommendations.  We had the most amazing day and our expectations were exceeded!  Thanks to Larry we were exposed to wineries that would have been overlooked.  If you want a great experience, call Larry. When searching Yelp for a kind soul to drive 7 members of a bachelorette party around Napa wine tasting, preferably for a reasonable price and not in a limo, I came upon Your Driver in Napa. So glad I did! Larry was professional, knowledgeable and patient. He had wonderful winery suggestions and set up all the tasting appointments. He even had the foresight to order lunch ahead of time so it would be ready right when we all needed it. The seven of us fit comfortably in his Escalade and had a most wonderful day. There were no extra fees or added costs in his quoted price, and he even carried all our wine purchases to the car. I would highly recommend Your Driver in Napa to anyone looking for a great driver to safely drive them around the wineries of Napa (or Sonoma) for a reasonable price.
