You And Your Dog residential dog training was founded to help owners achieve real life results with their dogs. We specialise in behaviour modification and rehabilitation of aggressive dogs, but we also work with dogs that have severe anxiety and with fearful dogs, as well as welcoming "happy go lucky" dogs!
The majority of our clients are owners who have been struggling for months, sometimes years, without getting any results. They have exhausted every other training method out there and they're still no closer to resolving the problems they have with their dog.
What makes us different is that we will not only train your dog, but we will also spend a lot of time empowering you. We will help you gain the skills, the knowledge, the strategies and the confidence to live with your dog in a more balanced and harmonious way, long after the Board & Train is over. We only spend a few weeks with your dog, you are the one that will have the dog in your life for many more years to come.

About us
Hi guys, great to meet you! I was born in the great 70's in Gothenburg, Sweden. Dogs have been in my life since I was born and I can't imagine a life without them. My journey really started however when I took on a human and dog aggressive rottweiler in my early 20's, from a family who no longer could keep him due to them having a baby. I thought I was ready, I was quite cocky, but I was in for a ride and lesson of a life-time!
What I learned from that though, was invaluable, and I still learn from every dog and every owner. Having since worked with mainly rescue dogs for the past 20 years, I have experienced most kind of dogs and their behaviour issues, so when people come to me and they feel embarrassed because they think their dog is the worst I've ever seen, or they cry because they are so very tired, stuck and frustrated, I get it... I've been there too, and it's OK, we'll move forward together!
I've used and tried most training techniques out there, all from "old school" to "positive only", and what I've learnt is that there is no "one size fits all". I think all techniques, methods and tools have their time and place, and I think that a good trainer utilises them all to help the dogs they've been entrusted with, rather than asking the dogs to adapt to one method alone.
I'm often asked what kind of trainer I am and I do not have an answer for that. I believe in Yes AND No. I believe in praise and reward for good behaviour, but also consequences for an unwanted or dangerous behaviour. I believe that medication to treat an unwanted behaviour should be used as a last resort. I believe that behaviour modification rather than managing a behaviour is a far better choice for both dog and owner. I also believe that death before discomfort is cruel! In this day and age, I guess you can call me "A Politically Incorrect" dog trainer :)
