Yosemite Pet Hospital

We had great experience with Dr. Medrazo. I had opportunity to re-visit this practice, as my Frenchie was having an issue with her sight. In previous visits, under different ownership, I did not feel I got the same attention as Dr. Medrazo gave in a single visit. I even got a follow up call to see how a referral visit had gone with a specialist, as Dr Medrazo is not an ophthalmological vet, but knew who to refer me to. It's confirmed, my little girl has what appears to be congenital juvenile cataract.Thank you, Dr Medrazo, for your time, care, recommendations, and know, as well as expressing your limitations. I would recommend them over any other facility. They are in your pets’ best interest and treat you like family. They saved our Cat’s life when she had no other options. Dr. Lissel Madrazo is nothing short of amazing and is a person who really loves her job and cares for animals. We adopted a cat from a shelter who was healthy but shortly after fell ill with a respiratory infection, which unfortunately lead to an eye infection. Throughout the whole process Dr. Lissel was there for every step of the way, providing us with details and options for treatment for our cat. Her treatment options were very affordable, and she answered any questions that we had (plus we never felt rushed or dismissed). She called us for updates on our cat, got us in for same day appointments when our cat was having an allergic reaction, referred us to specialist when it progressed, and offered us many options. Unfortunately, our kitty had to have her eye removed but she is currently in recovery and is doing great. Dr. Lissel gave us may resources on getting the surgery and even offered to do the surgery herself if we were unable to find an affordable solution. In short, Dr. Lissel saved our cats life and let us keep our family member and will continue to help us keep her health. We thank you and most importantly, Raven (our kitty) thanks you. This is the most competent vet I have ever encountered. Dr. Madrazo is incredible. She is smart, patient, willing to sit and explain complex paperwork and the intricacies of veterinary science. I am truly grateful to have found her. Plus side? Front desk gals and technicians are amazing! Organized and thoughtful. Caring, Knowledgeable Staff !! Great Doctor ... Took our Dog there today because we thought she had an ear infection. Turns out she did not, but they gave her a very thorough checkup and we got a clean bill of health. As a crazy dog parent we had a laundry list of unrelated questions. Dr. Madrazo addressed all of our questions and concerns and spent a lot of time with us, and made us feel very comfortable. UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP ! Most of these reviews are from a previous doctor.  Dr. Madrazo is an excellent doctor, she is very kind , friendly , and takes the time to get to know not only the pet but also the owner . She is always more than willing to help . She is and has always been very open with her pricing and treatments .  I will gladly take all 3 of my pups here anyday  Although this page has many bad reviews from the previous owner I would highly recommend giving yosemite pet hospital a chance and let them win the hearts of you and you're  fur babies ! As of a couple years ago, this hospital is under new ownership - and thank goodness! The new doctor (Dr Madrazo) is extremely warm, honest, and you can really see the caring she has for your pet.  We had to put our dog down last week, and she along with the rest of the staff, helped make the experience as pleasant as can be (given the situation). *Thank you all for that*. All I can say.. I wish there were 20x infinity stars to rate this place. Dr. Sheila and her team are truly the BEST I've ever had. .. I would recommend them to everyone.. Even though my King Rodeo couldn't beat cancer, I couldn't have identified the symptoms without Dr. Sheila's knowledge and her whole teams support. At the end of Missy,s life I have Never in my 82 years of life have I had someone step
Up to the plate like this wonderful Veterinary like she did be it pet or person !

Dr Sheila and her staff are top notch! I brought my kitten, Roksy to her the day after adopting her from the shelter. I had not ever owned a cat before and they were so supportive and thorough with Roksy's care! She was a very sick and skinny kitten, but with Dr Sheila's care, she is now healthy, happy and has even gained a pound and a half in 3 weeks! The follow up calls are on time and the staff is knowledgable and organized. I feel very confident in our new relationship and very relieved to know that my Roksy is in good hands! When our little Sare became ill last year we needed to find a vet in Simi. I called around to 3 different vets and they couldn't see Sara that day but 2 of the vets had recommended Yosemite Pet Hospital. I made the appointment and was greeted with with a warm sweet smile. Yosemite has the the warmest, caring, people, I am so happy the other vets couldn't take us. We lost our little Sara May 6th if it hadn't been for the compassion and love that was given to us by Dr. Shelia and her staff we wouldn't have been able to deal with our loss. We have 2 other dogs that are patients of YPH and they get the same excellent, warn, loving great care that we received Sara. Yosemite staff has become family to us. We've been taking our pups to Yosemite Pet Hospital for just over 10 years. Our first, our beloved Chloe just passed in January & we were beyond devastated. For 9 years, Dr. Sheila took such amazing care of our girl & the staff were always friendly & considerate - you could tell that they cared. It showed. When we were heartbroken & grieving - making the hard choices at the end - we never felt alone. Not only did Chloe have exceptional care, it was now being shown to us when we needed it the most.
I cannot put into words how incredible this office is, how lucky we were to have chosen Dr. Langrock as her vet. However, the best way to express it would be to tell you that our Abby is 7 1/2 months old & she loves Dr. Sheila & the entire office as much as Chloe did! More...

I just had my first appointment with Dr.Madrazo for Tula this was our first time here. Very calm and clean when you first walk in you are greated with staff at the front desk, who are very nice. They asked me a few questions to get to know Tula and her health history. We had come in for her senior exam that she needed. The doctor was super nice, friendly, and explained everything that needed to be done. The doctor went through how much everything would be and the process. She also made sure to answer any questions I had. The techs are so gentle with my Tula , even though my Tula can be a grump some times . They completely understood and took there time with her tell she was ready. No one forced her or rushed her to do something she didn’t want to do . Awesome staff amazing doctor.

My poor cat Nilla had been suffering from terrible allergic reactions, due to fleas. She was really chewing herself like crazy and this would result in infected sores. I took her to three different vets in the valley trying to find someone who could help me treat A) the fleas B) the infection and c) the allergies. In most cases the vets could get two under control but not all three. I am happy to say that the Vets at Yosemite Pet Hospital really took the time to help me get this problem under control. They recommended a flea medication that really kept her free of those itchy little buggers, they also helped me to treat the inflamed infected areas and were able to get my cat allergy medicine that helped her stop itching and help her skin return to normal. I am very grateful for all the time they took to treat my cat. She is now very healthy and happy and I owe it all to Yosemite Pet Hospital! If you are looking for a great vet, you have found them! I have brought my cat Hazel to Yosemite Vet since she was a kitten receiving her first shots and vaccines. The staff at Yosemite Pet are always helpful, friendly, and very gentle with Hazel. Our most recent visit was treating a skin infection and Hazel needed to wear a cone. Dr. Madrazo gave me clear instructions and plenty of helpful information. On our return visit, her infection had improved significantly - we are very happy with the care we received. Yosemite Pet Hospital is clean and modern and I would recommend anyone to bring their pets here whether it be for yearly shots and checkups or when your pet gets sick! They are the best! More...

My best friend and I have been a client of Yosemite Pet hospital for 8 years. We have always received the best care, preventive counseling and professional concern. My life and love (besides my other kids) was recently diagnosed with a spinal issue that prevented him from knowing where his back feet were. He kept falling over and dragging his back legs. At 11 years old I couldn't allow him to continue as such. Yosemite pet hospital performed a class act of sympathy and empathy while my children and I loved our brother our "Cody" I have a hole in my heart that will never be filled. Dr. Langrock and staff are truly platinum grade! They knows us and our little dogs by name and are always friendly, attentive, and professional. (Yosemite Pet never feels "clinical".)We have an elderly chihuahua that has become "specialneeds" in a few, unexpected ways. Dr. Langrock is excellent. She really takes the time to make sure your pet is as healthy as possible. Really makes sure she educates pet owners on what they need to know and she breaks down things in an understandable way. Highly recommend!
