Ordered my son's birthday cake here and it was every bit of delicious as the reviews claimed. Even the black butter cream icing. But as Mrs Yong suggested, don't choose black. I have been meaning to write a review of this bakery for years but finally getting around to it.   I have been been a customer of Ms Yong for many many years and have gotten hundreds of dozen cookies from her in the past and EVERYONE loves those cookies.   Not only that they are reasonably priced and easy on your wallet (great when you are buying large quantity).  Additionally Ms Yong has the nicest personality and is incredibly friendly and often gives a sample of her other products.   I have ordered the cakes on occasion as well as sampled her pies which all are fantastic.   Her icing on the cakes are very light unlike other store bought cakes which can be heavy and too sugary.   All of her products are baked on the premises and taste like your moms home made cake.  If you want reasonably priced baked goods with awesome taste as well as home style baked good then head on over to her bakery.   5+++++++. So I used them two years ago we had a miscommunication I sent them a cake in shape of a 3 but told them I need it to be in the shape of a 2 but same kinds of design. When I got to it and told her it was wrong she didn't have an attitude she just told me to come back the next day. I ordered a cake for a party I catered and to say I was disappointed is an understatement!  While the cake was absolutely delicious, Mrs. Young needs to hire a professional cake decorator.  The design on this cake was nothing like I expected and it looked like my 8 year old niece did it.  I'm sure I'll need many cakes in the future, but I host professional parties, so I may have to think twice about using Yong's bakery...unless it's a country backyard barbecue. First of all, I do NOT eat bakery cakes.  PERIOD.  But for this place, I'm willing to make an exception.  I tasted their butter cake with butter creme icing and it was very good.  I can tell that she uses REAL butter and NOT margarine or oil and the cakes are baked fresh and are not frozen.  The consistency is EXCELLENT.  I also tried a sugar cookie and the same can be said about it.  However, if you're looking for a fancy-smancy place, then this is not the place for you.  BUT - the taste is AWESOME.  And don't let the outside appearance of this place discourage you from going in.  Another downside is that credit/debit cards are not accepted - cash and checks ONLY but the prices are VERY reasonable.  If you want regular cakes with no-frills decorations then this is the place for you.  And that's NOT meant as an insult.  It's just that I'm used to taste AND fancy-smancy decorations.  Give them a try.  They are GREAT!  I'll definitely be a repeat customer. If you want a good, old fashioned, moist cake, then Yong's Bakery is where it's at! Whenever I'm in town, I head over to Yong's bakery for a slice of the delectable Butter Pound Cake. It's one of the moistest cakes I've had by far. The sheet cakes are also a crowd pleaser. I once ordered one for a friends birthday.Usually my family orders cakes from Yong's around the holidays but it gets busy quick. Make sure you place an order at least a week in advance if it's around Christmas time! The German Chocolate cake is pretty decent as well.The only downside to this awesome place is they don't accept credit cards. Very inconvenient for someone who rarely carries cash or check. There was one time when I couldn't decide which cake to get and I thought Ms.Yong was being a little testy but I think it's just because she's really busy with a bunch of orders so I'll cut her some slack. With cakes that taste that magnificent, I wouldn't be surprised if they're taking hundreds of orders a day.This is not your fancy schmancy Hollywood-inspired boutique bakery. I just recently ordered a birthday cake form here and I was very pleased with everything.  Although it's not the best tasting cake I've ever had ( a little too sweet for me), Ms. Yong was very helpful with my cake design.  She called me on two different occasions to give me some options and even allowed me to email her a picture of what I wanted.  The end result was a GREAT looking cake.  This will not be the last cake I order from this Bakery.
