Describe your creative process.
The creative process starts with a meeting or conversation with the client to get an idea of what they want to achieve. From that we have internal brainstorming sessions to throw as many idea options together as possible. From this, we would create 2-3 creative routes for you to choose from. From the chosen route, artwork is prepared, minor rounds of amendments carried out and the project completed. The process is similar for trandition print or digital approaches.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
To start with, we do need to have an idea of your budget, certainly for websites, as these vary greatly. If you have any logos, photography and copy, this would also need to be supplied. All of this can be supplied by us too if required.
What do you love most about your job?
The whole creative process! We love connecting brands with people, whether they be end-users or businesses alike. Seeing final printed literature or being able to go and view newly created and launched website is a real buzz!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started Yellow Hammer Design in 2009 after many years growing and developing small graphic design agencies along my own career journey. I decided to do this for my own clients, generating trust and good working relationships along the way to develop a firm client base.
