We chose Yards Unlimited Landscaping to do our front steps, walkway, and retaining wall for the garden that wraps around the front porch. We could not be happier that we chose to go with them, as they did an outstanding job! It was an absolute pleasure doing business with this company. Everyone was exceptionally pleasant, polite, and easy to deal with from the designer to the foreman and assistant landscaper to the office staff. They showed up on time on the sceduled commencement date and every day until completion. They were highly skilled, especially the foreman, and it showed in the work that they did. We are picky customers, but they were accommodating and open to modifications/adjustments which they took care of without complaint. Both the designer and foreman had good ideas which added a pop to our design. We also appreciated that they tidied up every night in the yard before leaving and did a good job patching up the lawn afterwards. Our job was not a huge one, but they took as much pride in it as if it were a big job. We love the end result and find ourselves inventing excuses to go outside just so we can look at it again! Rarely, if ever, do you find a company that "delivers on all cylinders". First, the quality of their work is outstanding. They arrive on schedule, complete their work as planned and leave the premises neat and tidy each day . Second, all of their people from the owner through to the workers are warm, caring and responsive. Third, they will take the time to work through many iterations of plans until you are satisfied. Also, notwithstanding the best planning, issues arise. Yards Unlimited are flexible enough to find optimal solutions. In my case, I used Yards Unlimited for both "hard" landscaping (putting in a pondless waterfall and new pavers around the pool) and "soft" landscaping (new gardens in the front and back yards). Terrific experience - quote process was very helpful in design aspects, price was about median - not the cheapest but not overpriced. Project started a couple of weeks after projected - but delayed by tons of rain. The crew was efficient and very respectful of my property - consulted with me several times on smaller details. The landscape designer at Yards Unlimited, Jeff Rolland, created a simple but beautiful design which complemented existing landscaping elements of our backyard. We opted to have a stone patio installed and Rob, the foreman for the masonry team, was especially great to deal with. He never made assumptions about any issues that arose and always made sure to talk to us first. The craftsmanship of the stonework is beautiful. In addition, the construction team responsible for building a new set of steps from the house to the backyard and the team which put in new plantings around the perimeter of the stonework both did superb jobs. I cannot say enough about Yards. They transformed my property. They were prompt, professional, creative, collaborative, respectful, courteous, hard working, and of course incredibly skilled. I have hired Yards Unlimited on two occasions. Ian and his team are professional, creative, reasonably priced, friendly and timely. On one occasion, we had an issue with a retaining wall collapse. Ian provided advice that resulted in an unobtrusive and relatively inexpensive solution. On another occasion, Yards Unlimited designed and upgraded our front lawn and entry. This resulted in tremendous curb appeal. Many passer-by's stopped to admire the look of our house and yard from the street. Yards Unlimited designed and installed the backyard of our dreams! We have a small backyard space and they successfully utilized this space to provide two distinct areas for lounging and dining. All this was complemented by a water feature consisting of 3 bubbling basalt columns that can be enjoyed from every point in the backyard.. We were especially pleased with the way in which they incorporated 5 beautiful cork boulders into the dining patio area. The owner and staff were so professional and accommodating every step of the process... and they garnered big points when they delivered their own Johnny-on-the-spot for the installers! Our project was to repair a stone wall which surrounded a patio and the wall is 40 plus years old. It had originally been well designed by the builder of our home and we wanted to renew and revitalize this area. The patio being of the same vintage had loose and depressed concrete slabs and the pathway connecting this area to the house was in need of repair.
We had used, " Yards Unlimited" in the past for a marvellous design of a deck which creatively allows us to embrace and enjoy our large well treed lot with various wild gardens and a fish pond.
We have nothing but praise for Ian and his staff!
Having been very pleased with our deck and the interaction and personal touch from Ian, We watched as his team worked on this project. Their discipline and attention to detail, pride in their work, perfection in each stage of the process , and cleanup every single work day is testament to the standards that this firm embraces!
Both the team we were given and the firm deserve major credit. We will, and have, referred this firm to friends and family as they know us as , " tough markers"!

I couldn't be happier with the landscape design and work that Yards Unlimited completed last fall on my property. It was in really rough shape and needed a complete overhaul. Thanks to designer-extraordinaire, Jeff Rolland, it went From Drab to Fab!! His vision for my property was like an extension of my imagination--only he was able to take it from a vision in our heads to a vision on paper to a vision of true beauty for real in my yard. I loved all of his expert suggestions and the way he really listened to me to get an understanding of what I was hoping for. Well, I got it! And the Yards Unlimited crew, every single one of them who came to work on my property, were beyond professional, knowledgeable, pleasant and great to have around. They were here every day for three weeks, and I kinda missed them when they were gone! I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the transformation, thanks to Jeff, Ian and Yards Unlimited!
